-Asriel POV-
I was paralyzed by Ruby's actions.
It wasn't something completely unexpected, but I can't believe it ended up like this. My head was a mess. I was trying to find what to do, but she acted first.
As soon as she separated her lips from mine, her face became completely red. Right after, she dashed away, bursting out of the door in rose petals.
I just stood there, dumbfounded. It just feels wrong, I can't do that to Ahri; I don't want Ruby to see me that way. I can't let those feelings reach any further, I can't let this fake connection go on any longer...
Like that, minutes passed, minutes where I considered any option I had. The situation was bad. Not just with me, but with everyone else too.
Ahri will be there to support me no matter what, I believe she will. 2B decided to stay at our side too. But even if Ruby doesn't want to leave us, I don't think Yang would let her stay close. Weiss and Blake are scared about me too. It's understandable, I'm a menace in various ways. Even if Ahri can hold back all the darkness inside me, what happened with Camael...
That was me, I know it was me. I know how Camael works, the burning passion, it makes a conviction something immortal. The flames are as strong as the conviction that makes them burn. I let my mind be filled with killer intent during the battle. I let my flames go out of control, my own emotions blinded me there.
The gift from my daughter, wasted. Used to kill, instead of to protect the ones I care for.
I don't know what to do right now.

I walked down the stairs of the inn, to the dinning hall. I wandered my gaze, searching for someone, until I caught sight of Ahri and 2B.
Walking closer, I noticed a young boy sitting with them. An android from what I can see, since he is wearing similar clothes to 2B's, a blindfold included.
Ahri seemed to notice me as I walked closer, she stood up and fast-walked towards me.
*SLAP*
Just like that she slapped me, hard.
Ahri: That's for scaring me.
And right after she pulled me into a hug, I could sense worry in her.
Ahri: Don't ever do that again.
As I hugged back, I saw 2B walking towards us. The young boy followed right behind her.
2B: What happened back there? I've never seen you like that before.
Me: I...
Ahri stopped hugging me; still grabbing my shoulders, she gave me a sad expression before speaking.
Ahri: We have a lot of things to talk about.
We walked back to my room. the young boy told 2B he'll be waiting in her room. Once we were inside mine, I sat down on the bed. Ahri did the same, and rested her head on my shoulder. 2B did something similar and sat at my side. The one that started to talk was Ahri.
Ahri: What happened last night?
Me: Where should I start?
2B: After you left the party.
Me: I was devoured by shadows without the chance to react. All that I remember is that I found Blake and A2 floating in the same dark, cold space, and I protected them.
Ahri: You protected them? How?
Me: I'm not entirely sure. I think it was thanks to Camael, and my own vitality. I just felt my own life being sucked out of me, different from how I share my life essence with you. This was more violent, merciless, and cold, instead of the warm feeling I got that night with you.
