3.) A Bloody Day

Tom's POV

It was rainy day, I personally like the rain and I was feeling rebellious so I snuck out my room with my indigo hooded cloak, once I got to the front of the castle I hear my name be called, i freeze and turn around to be face to face with Paul.

“Hey, Pau, what's up?” I ask trying to look innocent “You are prince,” he says bluntly I sigh and take the hood off my head all while rolling my eyes, he tells me that it's still highly dangerous to be leaving the castle without permission, I tell him that I was only gonna play with the villagers children for a few. He looks at me, I sigh and take off my cloak hanging it on the coat hanger next to me.

“Its too close to your birthday my prince-” “My birthday is in three weeks,” “and?” He asked I rolled my eyes again “I'm 16, I'll learn my lesson eventually,” “you told me that when you were 14 did you change much?” I lean against the wall listing to my lecture from my guard I cut him off asking when did he become my parents, he sighed and responded “ever since the king and Queen left two months ago,” “...they said they'd be back on my 17th birthday so,” I smirk and start to move from the wall past Paul, he sighed and watched me make my way to my room.

I waited for the sun to set completely, I waited till i saw the first star in the clear sky once I did I left my room even quieter than before grabbing my hooded cloak and jumping out the nearest window leaving it cracked for my reentry once i snuck past the night guards i ran through the town heading for the woods,  once i got to the border of the woods protected by what looks to be luminescent blue Orchids, I jumped over them since some of the farmers would go on and tell me since my parents aren't here that we've had an intruder when it was me the whole time.

Once I was back on the ground I began to run, at my fastest, I knew my way around these woods since before my parents left to the Star Kingdom and when I told Paul I'd change at 14 I use to always come out here in the day time, and not to my surprise the Orchids still kinda keep me out, their just so… bright I could see them from trees on once I reach the breach of the trees opening I slow down to a jog, then a walk, then a creep.

Someone or something was in the exit or entrance depends on how you see it, they were wearing a sparkling red and white shoulder Cape and had devil looking horns on its head, I looked around and find a broken branch, it didn't seem that thick nor heavy so I grabbed it sneaking up behind the thing, It was speaking to itself, praying and taking in what sounded like third person, I slowed my pace almost to a stop and let my arm drop.

The branch shuffled across the rock and the figure jumped, it started to turn its head and I panicked, swinging my arm with the branch hitting the figure, it well he collapsed on the ground I didn't think I hit him that hard but he didn't get back up , I threw the branch far away from me and the person and I get on my knees lifting his on my lap trying to see what's wrong my hand was covered in blood and I started to panic even more, I started to look for his wound and found it three on the right side of his face, one on his ear, another right on his cheek bone and the other above his eyebrow.

I turned his body on his back he was knocked out and it was my fault I started having and anxiety attack, knowing that if I killed him I would be hunted down that no one would stop until they find my body cold and hard, sweat was forming on my forehead at the thought I started to say sorry repeatedly until I hear the guy cough and take a deep sigh I stood up and ran back behind a thick trunk of a tree watching the person he sat up and grunted, he then cursed so loud the next Kingdom could hear it I started to laughing giving away my hiding spot, it was the first time I found someone who sounded like Paul.
