11. Rewrite the stars

Tom's POV

"I'm gay too. But I'm gay for you," his words where as smooth as butter and my face as red as a rose, I bit my cheek a looked the other way.

"Its ok if you don't feel the same, imma have to get use to rejection some time now," "N-no it's just, you can't, you can't be gay and you can't be gay for me it won't- we wont work," I say taking my hand out of his.

My eyes felt hot, I knew I was about to cry but I feel his arms wrap around me and pull me close "It's ok Thomas don't cry, I'm fine if you don't feel the same, like you said you think you're gay you're not certain," "No Tord I am certain, but the person I'm gay for can not be gay for me," I say, he let's me go and i wipe my eyes.

"You know I want you, it's not a secret I try to hide," he says looking at me "I know you want me, so don't keep saying our hands are tied," he said lifting me to my feet "You claim it's not in the cards, fate is pulling you miles away and out of reach from me," as he pull me close like we're dancing I tell him I can't dance he smiles and continues "but you're here in my heart, so who can stop me if I decide that you're my destiny~. What if we rewrite the stars? Say you were made to be mine?" He dips me "nothing could keep us apart, you'd be the one I was meant to find. It's up to you, and it's up to me, no one can say what we get to be, so why don't we rewrite the stars? Maybe the world could be ours tonight?" he spins me and dips again.

I let him go as he brings me back up "you think it's easy?" I step back looking to the side "you think I don't want to you? But there are mountains, and there are doors that we can't walk through," I give a serious look Tord snickers and move toward me "I know you wondering why, because we're able to be just you and me within these walls, but when we go outside you're gonna wake up and see that it was hopelessly after all," he takes my waste and hand again I take his shoulder and move with him "no on can rewrite the stars, how can you say you'll be mine?" He spins me in and out "Everything keeps us apart, and I'm not the one you were meant to find. It's not up to you, it's not up to me when everyone tells us what we can be, How can we rewrite the stars? Say that the world can be ours tonight?," he lifts me up above his head I grab his shoulders and we spin.

"All I want is to fly with you, all i want is to fall with you so just give me all of you~," we say, once he puts me down we stumble and fall, we laugh and get back up staring "it feels impossible," "it's not impossible," "is it impossible?" "say that it's possible~" he lifts me to his face and kisses me I pull away and he lets me go, avoiding eye contact and red faced, I look down feeling bad and grab his hand, and positioned his other on my waste, this time I guided us 'How do we rewrite the stars? Say you were made to be mine? Nothing can keep us apart, cause you are the one I was meant to find," he chimed back in "It's up to you, and it's up to me, no one can say what we get to be, and why don't we rewrite the stars? Changing the world to be ours," we start to stop spinning and and started laughing, I looked in the sky and saw the sun set once again the Rosey lavender sky reminded me of how little time we have left I lower my head and look at Tord sorrowfully "you know I want you, it's not a secret I tried to hide, but I can't have you, we're bound to break and my hands.. are tied," I let my arms drop to my side and I look the other way.

"What?" "I should be getting home," "But the sun just set-" I give Tord a serious look he sighs and looks down "did I make the wrong move?" "No that's not- it's not- you didn't I just... the sun set and my mom is expecting me," I say, he lets me go and grabs my hand, even though he was smiling I knew it was fake.

"Why are you faking that smile Tord?" "What do you mean?" "Stop faking the smile, i know it's not real," "How did- Nevermind, why do you care?" "Because," "because what?" "Because I know better," "That doesn't make sense," I slow to a stop letting my hand leave his grasp "What now?" I wipe my eyes and look directly at him, he looked pissed and hurt, I continued to let the tears run down my face "I'm sorry," I say "I'm so sorry, I was rude back there, I messed up i didn't mean to, I'm so so so sorry Tord could you-" I get cut off by a pair of arms being wrapped around me.

"Stop saying sorry for a change?" "B-but I am s-" "Don't even say it, don't even think about saying it," "why not?" His grip on my tightens "because I should be the one who's sorry, not you," my eyes widen, I wrap my arms around him letting him know I accept his apology for whatever he did.

We continue our way to Smokey and like before Tord tosses me to the other side, I land just underneath Smokey he starts to nibble on my hair and I push his head off mine, looking back over I see Tord jumping over the river he lands on the edge and was about to fall

"Shit.." I stand up and run for him I grab his shirt and stop him from falling into the water he grabs my forearm and I start to move backwards until I trip on a rock I fall in the ground pulling Tord with me "... Sorry.." "you're good..." I open my eyes, face to face with Tord on top of me hand still gripping my forearm I look away and feel my face heat up like nothing else, I then felt him let me go and I looked back over and see him standing and looking away from me.

"We better get going shouldn't we?" He asks I barely understood him since he asked really fast "uh yea, I guess," I stand up and walk to Smokey I place my hands on his back, when i was about to jump i felt a pair of hands grab my waist and lift me on Smokey's back.

"Thanks?" "No problem," "you do know I don't need to be picked up everytime, I'm not completely use to getting lifted off the ground," "I know but you're a little to short to just jump on Smokey, granted you're light but your height kinda flaws you tiny," "HEY!" I hear him chuckle behind me. We ride back to the lake, Tord hops off and helps me off, we started to walk in the woods.

"This is where I stop," he says smiling I smile back and give him a hug saying sorry for the last time, he scoffs but hugs me back, we let go and say goodbye. This time like the last I changed my goodbye, I ran my fingers through his hair and give him a quick peck on the lips, catching him off guard, I smile and run off home yelling in the distance "I'M GAY FOR YOU TOO!"
