How many times had she wanted someone to take her out of that tower?

Many.

Various.

An abundance.

After Tony had offered, she made little haste to jump out of her cot and attempt to ready herself for an evening of wonderment. Even the aching in her chest and the soreness of her body couldn't keep her curiosities at bay. She'd rested long enough. It was time to understand the world she'd hoped would learn to praise her.

"Your temperatures are strange here," (Y/N) mumbled. One of Tony's black leather jackets adorned her figure. Jeans from Pepper's wardrobe fitted her bottom half, hair thrown up in a clean, comfy manner.

If there was one thing Tony didn't want to do, it was make her culture inferior. Some cultures glorified the existence of female hair. Whether or not Titans did such a thing, he didn't know, but it was the least he could do with the chilly temperatures and an urge to help her maintain comfortable.

"Have you seen our distance from the sun and the way our whole world literally revolves?" He scoffed, basically annoyed by his own planet, "Honestly, though, it's hard to believe you're taken by our climate. Titan was always scientifically described as cold yet your whole planet seemed warm and less blue than what our astronomers like to point out."

A tiny roll of the eyes made Tony chuckle. It was good to see her at least try to be nonchalant. It was obvious to him she was getting loose; her guard was falling down and as positive as that was for experimentation and aid, he wanted to make sure she didn't let them collapse completely. He'd be damned if he let the U.S., or any government for that matter, take advantage of her. Something like that could almost be seen as sick.

Even so, as the two wandered through Manhattan, Tony noted how genuinely intrigued (Y/N) was by all of their lights, the advertisements, the volume of the crowds, the friendliness of certain people. He'd gone all day listening to her say, "wow!" and smile great big smiles at strangers she'd only conversed with for a whole five seconds.

By the time they'd reached the outskirts of Manhattan, where the bay had been (where he'd been meaning to take her in the first place), the sun had set rather quickly. Once again, (Y/N) had been genuinely taken back by the amount of light that still filtered through the dimming of the city. Titan eyes glossed over every time she turned as a great iridescence stole her attention. A billionaire standing to the left of her as he admired the innocence exposed before him.

It was at this time that Tony started wondering if there was a way he could keep her in the tower, away from government testing facilities and news crews - wondered whether or not he could still grant her freedom to exist amongst the humans yet still be used in a laboratory - his. A safer option as opposed to being taken into an institution where no one would care for her directly and would only probe her mind until they fought to do a lobotomy. Cover up her existence like she was a handicapped accident.

There was no way to bring something like that up in normal conversation.

He could practically feel her disappointment and momentary lack of virtue.

"Do you feel safe in the tower?"

As expected, the smile on her face melted away and her heart fell to the base of her chest.

She just wanted to go a day or two without discussing safety or logistics.

She wanted to experience a new world without the threat of the inevitable.

"I know I'm still just some test subject," She muttered, tightening the leather jacket around her figure as she began to shake out of slight frustration and chill, "I feel like no matter where I am here, I'm not really safe at all."

He stared at her, shocked by her statement. "Do you really feel that way?"

She nodded, "Why wouldn't I? Wouldn't you?"

Any argument he would attempt would be invalid.

She had every right to be scared. To be hesitant and confused.

While Tony was not a God or a mystic, he really could promise her safety. It would be seen as harsh punishment of course - monitoring her 24/7, making sure she didn't leave without some type of accompaniment. But it would be for her own good. She'd be safer being analyzed by F.R.I.D.A.Y. than the CIA.

But would she see it that way?
