I meet up with Nate in the cafeteria when the bell signals that lunch has begun.
"Hey," he says looking all perfect still.
"Hi" I actually manage to speak this time. An awkward silence lingers before Nate gestures to a nearby table. I take a set as does he.
"So what's for lunch?" we ask in unison, this causes us to giggle.
"Salad sandwich" I reply.
"Chicken and mayo! How boring" I look across at the beautiful boy sitting across from me. Pure blonde hair, bright green eyes that I could stare at forever, perfect plump soft looking pink lips.
"Want to get out of here?" This question catches me off guard. Two thoughts run through my head. 1. Do anything this sexy boy says and 2. What on earth are you thinking you just meet this guy!
The rational side of me kicks in "But what about school?" I ask sounding like Jemimma when I have told her off.
"Come on Iallish live on the edge it’s just lunch"
"Ok lets go" I say getting my jacket off the back of the chair. This is possibly the most impulsive thing I have ever done, but I can’t help it something about Nathaniel just makes me feel safe and secure.

As we are headed towards the parking lot I feel someone tug on my sleeve. It’s Ollie. I spin around to face him.
"He-" is all I manage to get out before he cuts me off
"Where do you think you’re going?" Ollie is standing there arms crossed across his chest he has his you-must-listen-to-what-I-say look on
"We are going to lunch" I hear the words I was about to say come from Nate. "Problem?"
"Yeah I have a problem," Ollie says facing Nate. They are about the same height; Nate may have a tiny advantage over Ollie. They look from each other to me back to each other.
"Ollie, its just lunch"
"Yeah just lunch" he mutters as he turns and walks away.
Nate and I continue to walk out the door. I follow his lead as we walk into the parking lot dodging cars before we finally arrive at a green thunder Ute.
"Nice car" I say with an extremely cheeky smile.

We are cruising along in Nate’s mighty fine car radio blasting.
"Where do you want to eat?" I ask thinking if we don’t decide then we won’t get lunch!
