Just Another Glee Member (Rachel/You)

Chapter Three

*Y/n's POV*

I just came from the Glee room and now I'm walking to first period Biology when someone calls my name. I turn my head slightly to see Rachel.

"Y/n!" She smiles when she catches up. I turn my whole body and give her a small smile.

"Hi Rachel." She smiles even wider.

"You said my name. You greeted me with my name." She jumped up and down excitedly.

"Yeah? Is it a big deal?" I ask, putting my head down slightly.

"It wouldn't matter to most people, but I care."

"Oh. Sorry." I put my head back up and she shook hers.

"Don't be sorry. But I actually came over here to talk to you about Glee club." I look at her curiously and she continues. "Would you mind doing a duet with me?" I consider it for a minute.

"Can I pick the song?" She nods.

"Go right ahead. I just wanna sing with you." I smile slightly again.

"Do you know the song Demons by Imagine Dragons?" She shook her head.

"Don't think so. Is it really old?" I shook my head.

"It's alternative indie, and it's quite new actually."

"Hm. Your taste in music is all over the place isn't it?" She laughs and I smile.

"Okay, so we can practice at my house tonight and tomorrow, and if necessary Friday?" She nods her head.

"That sounds good, let me just call my dads." She pulls out her phone.

After she gets off the phone with them she puts it away. She nods at me and hugs me slightly. I tense up and shy away a little bit.

"Oh, sorry." She pulls away and smiles sheepishly.

"And I quote. Don't be sorry." I say that and she giggles.

"I'll see you later, bye Y/n." She waves and I wave back.

"Bye Rachel." I smile and walk to my first period class.

After school, I wait outside the entrance for Rachel to show up. I'm sitting on the bench outside reading when I feel a tap on my shoulder. I turn around to see Rachel.

"You really like walking up behind me don't you?" I stand up and she walks to the other side of the bench.

"Eh. It's a hobby of mine." I laugh slightly as she smiles. "Your laugh is adorable." I stop laughing and give her a small smile.

"Thanks. We should get going. We have to walk to my house because my mom has work." She nods and we take a few steps before we hear someone calling Rachel's name.

"Hey Rachel. Where are you going?" Finn asks as he catches up to us.

"I'm going to Y/n's house for a duet practice." She smiled at her boyfriend then at me, who was staring at the ground.

"Oh. You guys want a ride?" He offers politely.

"Sure. Why not? Come on Y/n." She says happily.

"You go. I'll walk. I'll text you my address." I start walking and pull out my phone.

"Please Y/n. I know you're shy, but please." Rachel pleads.

"Alright." I can't not give into her adorable face. "My address is 1234 Lane Street." (I went with literally the most basic thing I could think of.)
