Author's Note: Yay! They passed 'cause they're awesome! Hihi!
NOTE: The Korean Embassy in the Philippines is mentioned here. The process of applying visa is just my imagination and it's not really true. If ever I said anything that matched the real process, it's just a coincidence. Okay? :D

Beep... Beep... Beep...
I woke up by the sound of the alarm. Aish~ I went to search for it on top of the bed side table with my hands, eyes still closed. Ah, found it! I took a peek to see what time it is and it's only 4 am.
4 am?!
Why am I supposed to be awake at 4 am?
I took my phone from the bed side table's drawer and checked my events. "Apply for visa," I murmured. Ahhh... Yeah right! I need to apply for visa! Jehee said that the process is complicated and you need to be there as early as you can so that you're not the last in line. And mind you, the Korean Embassy only opens for 2 hours if you want to get visa! Effin' epic.
I quickly got up from my bed and fixed it. I'm imagining how my life would be if I live in Korea without my mom. Hey, it's really not easy! She's the one who always cooks for me, washes and prepares my clothes, tells me stories about her and dad, fixes my bed all the time, cleans the house, everything! Ugh. I need to be more responsible now.
My mom isn't awake yet that's why there's still no breakfast. I decided to cook for myself. I got eggs and sausages in the fridge. The pancakes will also be perfect for today that's why I got them on the top cabinet. Strawberry pancakes? Hell yeah! I also got strawberries from the chiller and looked for a strawberry syrup, if ever we have. I scanned the whole kitchen and aha! Got it!
I fried the eggs and sausages in a pan with a little bit of olive oil. While it's frying, I mixed the pancake mix with one egg and poured it in another pan. I sliced the strawberries carefully and set it aside. What's missing? Oh I know! Milk! And butter also for the pancakes!
After a few minutes of cooking and preparing, voila! I'm done already! Seriously, it looks good and I hope it's delicious too! I was about to take a bite of my sausage when mom came downstairs. "Oh, good morning mom!" I exclaimed. "Claire, did you cooked?" my mom's eyes widened. "Uhhh, yeah mom. Want some?" I asked, offering the sausage on my fork. "Let me see," she grabbed the fork and took a small bite. "I really can't believe that you cooked!" my mom clapped her hands after. "Mom, I decided to be more responsible for myself. You know I'll be living in Korea alone right?" I asked her. "Yes sweetheart, I know. And I'll be living alone too," my mom suddenly frowned. "Oh come on mom! I'll be also sending you to Korea after I debuted!" I said and hugged my mom. "Be sure Claire, be sure," she pinched my nose. "Ouch! Mom, that hurts!"

I finished my breakfast and so does my mom. She was very happy and contented that I can cook by myself. At least she won't worry a lot if I'm already in Korea. I took a shower and changed my clothes. Because I'm going to an embassy, I wore a decent, proper one. Just a denim pants and fitted blue three-fourths will do. I also paired it with a black snickers and my hair is a bit curled in the end. I finished it off with a headband and a little make-up. I'm finally ready! I got my satchel from the cabinet and slipped my phone and wallet in it. I also included lipstick and blush-on just in case my make-up is smudged.

I dialed Jehee's number after I arrived at the embassy. She answered after a while. "Ne?" she asked. "I'm already here. Where are you?" I replied. The scorching heat of the sun is already irritating me. We're still outside because it's not yet opened. "Going there! Did you bring all the requirements?" Jehee asked again. "Of course I did. Hurry up!" I told her and hung up. 8:30 am. 30 minutes to go and this embassy will finally open. Goodness gracious!
