Chapter 4: Arriving in Atlantic City

The next morning at 7:45 AM, Andrew was at the Amtrak Miami Station as he was wearing a black t-shirt and black jeans and he checked the weather for Abby and it was gonna be 83 degrees on the day they arrive, 76 degrees on competition day and that was the day they'd fly back to Miami as the girls, the moms, Gianna and Abby were sitting in the waiting room with many other passengers.

"I wonder if Atlantic City has any places where we can get a drink?" Christi asked, she always liked to do something to relieve stress from dealing with Abby and Andrew in the studio and backstage at competitions.

"Who knows, but i'm not gonna act beligerently." Kelly replied to her best friend.

"Riding Amtrak to a competition is gonna be fun in my opinion." Kristie added.

"I agree, This is kind of unique, we've never traveled to a competition on a train in the years we've been at Abby's, we always took a bus or flew in a plane." Melissa observed.

Meanwhile, the girls were excited about riding the train to Atlantic City, where the competition was going to be held at because they've never rode the train before.

"We're gonna have so much fun on the train!" Maddie said.

"I know, right?" Chloe added.

"I've never rode Amtrak before, this is gonna be fun!" Mackenzie squealed, it was gonna be her first train ride.

"Kenzie, i know how you feel, when i was 7, Mom and i took a Vacation on Amtrak and it was amazing, we went to New York City and i was excited." Andrew said.

"He sure was!" Abby added, then she turned her attention to her son, the girls, Gianna and the moms. "All right, we've got a sleeping car booked. On the front sleeper, Andrew will be in Room A and i will be in Room B, Gianna will be in Room 1 with Brooke, Melissa will be in Room 2 with Mackenzie, Maddie will bunk with Kendall in Room 3, Nia and Asia will share room 4, Chloe and Paige will be in Room 5, Kelly will be in room 6, Holly will be in room 7, Kristie will be in room 8, Jill will be in room 9 and Christi , You have room 10. You all got it?"

"Crystal clear, Miss Abby." Paige said.

"Your attention please is now receiving passengers." A voice said as everybody got up to board the train and the coach passengers boarded first, then the sleeping car passengers would be next.

"All right, girls, are you ready?" Andrew asked.

"Yeah!" The girls replied in excitement as they got their phones, laptops and other things as they got up from their seats and headed towards the platform with their tickets in hand and showed them to the attendant, who smiled at them as she pointed to the where the train was.

On the Track was a Amtrak train that had two diesel engines, a baggage car that held their suitcases, three sleepers, a dining car, cafe car and four single level coach cars which was ready to leave for New York and when the train arrived in Washington D.C., the train would go from diesel to electric because between New York and Washington D.C. it was electrified and they boarded the train in the front sleeper.

When 8:20 rolled around, the engine tooted the horn twice and the train began to move as it left the station on it's way to New York City as they enjoyed their train ride as it was on it's way to it's destination.

At the train station in newark at 10:07 AM, the girls, the moms, Gianna, Andrew and Abby had just gotten off of the Silver Meteor train, the competition didn't start until noon tomorrow.

"Mom, i enjoyed riding Amtrak!"

"I can tell, you were smiling from ear to ear through that whole ride!" Abby stated as they had left the platform area and headed to the main hall so they could get their bags and catch a taxi to Atlantic City.
