Chapter 17: Won, then lost

The upcoming weekend at the Fire and Ice dance competition, the ALDC bus arrived as the fans began to cheer, then when Andrew was the first to get off, the crowd cheered even louder and then everyone else got off the bus.

"I LOVE YOU, ANDREW!" One older female shouted, then she fainted when he smiled at her, then there was another older female that was holding up a sign that said "MARRY ME, ANDREW!" Andrew saw the sign and gave a wink, he was glad to have a lot of fans.

"I'm telling you, Kenz. He has more fans then all of us combined." Maddie told her younger sister.

"I'm glad Cathy isn't here to start any mess this time." Abby told her son.

"Me too, because i would've said something that i usually don't say unless it's in the privacy of my house." Andrew replied as they entered the dressing room that had the words ALDC on the door.

"SOLOS FIRST!" Abby barked immediately, then the girls sat down on the makeup chairs as the moms did their hair and makeup, which took 30 minutes, then the girls headed to the stage as the adults took their seats in the crowd and watched the competition.

When the competition ended, the moms all entered the dressing room as Abby and Andrew weren't behind them because they were talking to the judges about the scores. Kendall had gotten first with 289 points, which made Jill smile, thinking that her daughter was in the good books of Andrew and Abby. Paige had gotten second with 279 points and Maddie got third with 255 points, Chloe and Maddie got first in their duet and the group got first as usual.

"You did good, Kendall." Andrew said, he and Abby were happy for Kendall, but in their minds, they thought that Paige had first place in the bag, then one of the scoring judges opened the door and walked in.

"Abby Lee Dance Company?" The scoring judge said.

"That's us, what's happening?" Jill asked, not knowing that it was gonna be bad news for her daughter.

"Well we had a little scoring mistake and originally Kendall had the first place finish with 289 points and Paige had the second place finish with 279 points. So therefore, Paige is the actual first place winner and Kendall is second place." The scoring judge said as Kendall began to cry as she handed Paige the award. Jill looked like she was ready to explode.

"Thanks for clearing that up for us." Andrew stated.

"You're welcome, have a nice day." The Judge replied as he left the room as Kelly gave her younger daughter a hug, they were happy that Paige was the actual winner because of the scoring mistake, but they both felt bad for Kendall.

"This is not gonna sit well over with Jill. I feel bad for Kendall because she won, but a scoring mistake cost her a victory." Kelly stated.

"Me too, Mom." Paige said.

"I have a gut feeling that this may not end well." Brooke added.

"You two told the Judges to reverse the scores!" Jill shouted, with a very furious look on her face over the fact that she knew that Abby and Andrew plotted against her daughter.

"We did not plot against Kendall, we checked the scores and thought they were right, but we were wrong because the Scoring Judge let us know about the error when he came in here!" Andrew shouted.

"Jill, you need to shut up because the more you act like this, you are ruining Kendall's chances at being a good dancer!" Abby yelled.

"Yeah, Why don't you keep your big mouth shout and Kendall won't have to be in trouble so much?! We love Kendall and all, but you have to know that your mouth gets her in trouble!" Andrew added.

"You know what, Me and Kendall are going to leave, since you always find a way to ruin my daughter!" Jill shouted as she threw something at Andrew, who dodged what she was throwing. Then Jill packed her things in anger.

"We're not trying to ruin your daughter, we are trying to make her into a star!" Abby retorted in anger, then she saw Jill take Kendall by the hand and they left and headed back, took a taxi to a bus station and took a bus back to Miami.

"I think Jill needs a nap, maybe that will set her straight." Kristie said, after seeing Jill throw a temper tantrum like a three year old and storm out.

"I agree with you." Kelly stated.

"What did she have for breakfast, Haterade?" Christi asked, then that made everybody laugh, then they packed their things and left the dressing room, walked down the corridor and got on the RV/Former Coach Bus that Andrew bought and they rode the bus from Pensacola to Miami.
