Reed was enjoying the cool evening breeze, after pondering over everything that had happened lately, he remembered when he was young.
Reed's pov
I could remember clearly when me and Alexis was still a child, she took us out on picnics despite her being a career woman, she never made us lack motherly love.
She was always there for me when my father was hurting me with his strong words, she always told me that it'll make me stronger, then he'll call me lazy bone in front of my classmates in elementary school.
I struggled to be what he always wanted me to be, but it was always a waste, he belittled me and always exhort Alexis because she was perfect in his eyes.
I remember when I'll cry on her shoulders when I was made fun of, when my teachers bullied me.
Even when she couldn't keep up to my father after he sent me out in high school , she still showed undying love.
He said my mom was the one teaching me how to yell back at him, he said I was being a Mama's boy.
There was an uproar in the house when he came home one fateful day, a day before my junior school graduation, he was drunk, he wanted to drink some more, my mom was not at home to stop him, I wanted to take the bottle from him but he threw it at me, it broke my shoulder bone and there was some injury, my mother came home rushing that night, she took me to the hospital, she called the maid to pack my stuff together and she shouldn't make anyone suspicious.
She went home picked my stuff and took her other credit card, she drove me to the airport from the hospital, she had told her manager to collect
