Peter and you have been best friends since first grade. You've been through a lot together. From the First battle of the Beruna to the raid of the Telmar Castle, you've always been by his side and he you. He always comes to you when he needed advice and support. You know you can trust him with your life and vice versa. However, like all cliche romance story, your platonic feelings to him grow and eventually, it turns from platonic to romantic.

Being the completely obvious guy Peter always is, he obviously doesn't know about your feelings to him. Every time he flirts with someone else, it feels like your heart gets shattered by a sledgehammer and stabbed multiple times. You want to tell him about your feelings, but the thought of ruining your friendship stop you.

You go to the Pevensie's household after school as usual. You walk into the living room and found all the Pevensie children were in there. Edmund and Susan are playing chess while Lucy and Peter are watching Television. You make your way to the spot next to Peter and sit down on the comfy couch.

Like always, Peter leaves the seat next to him empty for you. You lean your head on his shoulder and he rests his head on yours. That little action makes your heart beats fast like a war drum. You two stare at the television aimlessly, not really watching it, but just doing something together and enjoying the time spent together.

Just when you want to snuggle Peter, Peter suddenly sits up and said, "Y/N, I met a girl yesterday in the library, and I kinda wants to be friends with her. Since you're a girl, you should know better than anyone how to talk to a girl. Help a guy out, won't you?"

Being the go-to-advisor of Peter, this is not the first time Peter asks you for advice, but this is, in fact, the first time he asks you for advice about relationships. To say you're shocked would be an understatement. You always think Peter loves you and you two would eventually become the cute childhood-best-friend-turn-into-lovers couple. But it seems like Peter doesn't really feel the same.

You freeze for a second and fake a bright smile on your face. Peter makes it pretty clear that he has no feelings for you, at least nothing romantically.

"Oh My God! Peter Pevensie is having a crush on someone! I thought I would never see that day happen!"

A pale pink blush appears on his face. He scratches the back of his neck and said, "Stop it, Y/N! I really need your advice. Stop teasing me!"

You know that Peter and you can never be an item. Within the two of you, if you're not the one that receives the happiness of being with Peter, the least you can do is help Peter so that he can be with someone he likes. You just hope the girl Peter likes will treat him the way he deserves.

"Praise a girl if you want her attention without feeling awkward. Tell her that her outfit looks nice, or tell her that her eyes look beautiful," you said to him, feeling your heart break a little.

Peter holds your hands in his, making you look into his deep blue eyes. "Y/N, your dress looks beautiful on you. The way you style your hair looks perfect. Your smile makes my heart skip a beat."

You can feel your heart beats faster and your face grows hot. You keep repeating to yourself in your mind that Peter is just practising flirting, and that he is not flirting with you. No matter how loud the sensible part of the brain tells you that, a small part of you still want to believe that Peter is telling you that.

"Haha! That's right! Keep saying sweet things like that, that girl will fall for you in no time!"

Peter reaches his hand to your face, putting that single lock of hair behind your ear. He whispers, "Your eyes are so expressive and I can't help but get lost in them. I have never met someone who's as nice and caring as you, Y/N. You make me feel so lucky when I'm with you."

Your heart beat faster as he leans towards you. You can feel his breath tickling your face. You want to speak but no words come out of your mouth. You want to lean forward and give him a kiss on his lips, just a teeny tiny gentle kiss on his soft cheek, but your whole body is frozen like statues.

"Y/N, I can't do this anymore. I have had enough of this."

"Wh...what do you mean, Peter?" you stuttered, afraid to hear what Peter is going to say.

"I've had enough of this friendship you and I have. It's too toxic for me. I need something new. I want something new between you and me. I want you to not be my friend, but to be something more."

You keep silence since you have no idea what Peter is saying. "I want you to be my girlfriend, Y/N."

You look at Peter with your mouth opened and literally froze. You can feel butterflies in your stomach and the warmth in your body, but you still say nothing.

Peter sees your frozen state and starts panicking," I know this is a bad way to tell you how I feel. I should have never asked Susan for relationship advice. This is so bad!"

Peter keeps waving his hand in front of your face, trying to get back your attention. You whispered, "Peter, do you mean it? Do you really mean what you just said? This is not a prank, right?"

"Y/N I'm telling you the truth. I wanted us to be something more. I would never play with your feelings like this, Aslan forbid me."

"Ask me again, Peter. Ask me again properly," you said, looking him in his blue eyes.

"Do you, Y/N, accept my request and be my girlfriend? I promise you I will be yours forever, support you, listen to you, do what exactly a boyfriend should do. I promise to be your navigator, sympathizer, sidekick, best friend. Finally, I promise you myself."

"Peter you sound like your saying your wedding vows. Who did you ask for advice this time?" you laughed, with tears in your eyes.

"Lucy. She said that, and I quote, 'Saying sweet things like you're saying your wedding vows can definitely impress the girl and get you out of the friend zone.'."

"Peter, promise me one thing only: Don't ask your sisters for any more relationship advice. Ask me only, okay? Even though you won't need to anymore. "

"So, does that mean?" Peter asks, raising his eyebrows.

"Yes, I accept your request."
