"Lance, Hijo, it's time to get up." Marie whispered, shaking the boy slightly. "Keith?" Lance asked, before opening his eyes. Marie felt a pain in her heart when he said that, she knew she took him away from his friend. "No sweetheart, it's Marie. Your mother." Marie reminded him. He frowned. "Oh, right." He simply said. Marie soon smiled. "Hey, Hijo, why don't I take you and the others to town, maybe you can buy a toy you really want, or maybe a new pair of shoes?" Marie suggested. Lance brightened when he heard that, he had a plan and he was going to execute it. "Sure." Lance replied. Marie smiled happily.

"Oh that's good, breakfast is ready. Go wash up and come downstairs." Marie informed Lance. Lance nodded, heading towards the bathroom. I hope they have a hippo plush or maybe even something red? Oh! I'm so excited to get something for Keith! Lance thought, smiling widely. Lance took some soap, rubbing his hands together, then placing them under the running tap. Lance thought of all the possible things he could've possibly gotten Keith. Lance then walked downstairs. Lance's jaw dropped, there was at least three little kids and five others kids plus three adults.

"Ah, Lance, I want you to meet Abuela." Marie smiled. Lance nodded, walking over to his new abuela. "Hola." Lance greeted shyly. The old woman smiled merrily and wrapped Lance in a big hug. "Ah, mi nieto, don't be shy, we're your familia." Abuela sighed. Lance smiled warmly. "Alright, everyone welcome Lance Serrano to the family!" Marie yelled happily to the family, everyone cheered, causing Lance to feel every bit of happiness inside. Lance then sat down and ate as much as his stomach would allow. He wouldn't waste any bit of delicious food that his new mother had cooked him.

"My, Lance, you've eaten so much." Marie giggled. Lance looked up, with bacon still in his mouth. "Sorry." Lance gulped, then frowning. Marie just chuckled. "Mi cariño. It's alright, I would rather you eat up a whole bran then you not eat at all." Marie smiled happily. Lance then grinned back in return. Finishing up his plate then pushing it forward, showing he was done. "Lance, are you finished?" Marie asked. Lance nodded. "Alright, I set some clothes for you on your bed, make sure you shower, get changed, brush your teeth, and brush your hair. I will only have the cleanest in my house." Marie ordered. Lance nodded, heading up to the bathroom.

"Wow!" Lance said in awe, there were so many stores, so many people, everything was plentiful. "I know right? When I came here for the first time, I said the exact same." Carlos, chuckled. Lance looked around, seeing everything around him. "So, what do you wanna get hermano?" Vi asked. "Probably something for Keith." Lance mumbled. Vilotta looked confused. "Who's Keith? Why do you want to get him something and not get yourself something?" Vi asked.

"Oh, um, well, Keith is a boy at my orphanage. And I want to get him something because he is very special to me." Lance sighed happily. Maybe one day, he'll be able to hold Keith in his arms again, even for a moment. Vi smirked. "Keith sounds really important to you. Do you love him?" Vi whispered. Lance blushed. "Maybe, is it a problem if I do?" Lance asks back. Vi frowns. "To our father, yeah, it is. He hates gays. We use to have another boy in our family, his name was Domeniq. He was a handsome young man, but, he came out to all of us as gay, well things didn't go well. He was kicked out of the family. Everyone but dad accepted him for who he was. Some of us are even gay or bi ourselves but won't tell dad, so we aren't kicked out." Vi explained.

"Do any of you still talk to him?" Lance asked. Vi nodded. "Yeah, he's happily married and has a little girl at the age of 23." Vi smiled. "Please, for the love of god, I'm begging you, don't come out to him. I can't have another brother leave us." Vi cried. Lance frowned, hugging the upset female. "I won't leave you, I promise. Pinky promise." Lance assured her. Lance held out his pinky. Vi smiled and wrapped her pinky around his. Vi chuckled, wiping her tears. Marie took notice of the crying girl. "Vi? What's wrong mi cariño?" Marie asked. "Domeniq. I was telling Lance about him." Vi replied. Marie frowned. "Poor boy, I miss him dearly, but we mustn't dwell in the past, only focus on the future." Marie smiled weakly.
