Jeongin woke up to the sound of arguing

Jeongin woke up to the sound of arguing. His parents should have both left for work by now, but of course they didn't care. Whether it was about money or something the other did, they would argue and make bigger deals out of small occurrences just for the drama of it. Jeongin often thought about how happy they could be if they didn't comment and pick apart everything the other did because it was tearing apart their marriage, and everyone under that roof knew it.

Jeongin quietly got dressed and ready for school. He assumed his parents were to busy screaming to bother if he got to school safely or not, so he decided to walk on his own. It was cold and dry outside, the wind cut through his jeans and sleeves like a razor and left the poor boy shivering. He wished Chan was there to warm him up. He then recalled yesterdays past events. His face warmed itself up and Jeongin laughed at himself. Even when Chan wasn't with him, he was still keeping him warm.

Jeongin wore white ripped jeans and the hoodie Chan had gave him. It was pink and had the words 'BABY BOY' written across the chest in a pretty black font. It was oversized and very comfortable. Jeongins' pink vans padded the concrete that lead up to his school. People at jeongins' school were often nice to him, especially when he was next to Chan. Chan's reputation had rubbed off on Jeongin a bit, and now people didn't mess with him that much. They didn't want to end up like Jack.

Jacks' mates had gone around and spread the rumor that Chan picked a fight with him, but of course people knew better. The one consistent thing that had spread with the rumors was the Chan beat the shit out of the cruelest bully in the school, but nobody knew what Jack had done to provoke him. Nobody spoke up about it either. Not even jeongin. He didn't want any attention. Although he seemed to attract a lot of eyes anyway.

Jeongin passed the schools entrance and reached his locker. When he opened it, it was immediately slammed shut again. Jeongin internally groaned. Now he would have to re-open it all over again. "You!" Jack yelled from behind Jeongin. "Turn around!" He commanded. Jeongin shyly turned around, but kept his eyes on his shoes.

"We have some unfinished business." He said. Jacks' aggressive tone had drawn in many listeners, and cameras. People just love to film stuff. Jack threw Jeongin from the locker and onto the floor. He kicked him in the side, hitting the same spot he'd hit before. Jeongin whimpered out in pain. Tears formed in his eyes and he curled into a ball on the floor. Jack kept kicking him relentlessly. Jeongin could see faded scars and bruises on Jacks face. 'Did Chan really do that to him?' Jeongin thought. He wished Chan would come save him right about now. Jacks foot swung back and kicked Jeongin in the side of the head. His ear started bleeding and blood pooled onto the floor and onto his hoodie.

"Hey!" Someone suddenly yelled. Jack stopped kicking Jeongin and turned toward the voice. "What?" He said disrespectfully. He turned around and met the furious eyes of Changbin. "The fuck are you?" Jack spat. Changbin chuckled darkly. "Your second worst nightmare." Changbin informed. "Pssh. Right. What's the first?" Jack retorted. He really didn't know what he was getting himself into. "Me." Chan said loudly as a suddenly appeared behind Jack. Jack screamed and jumped three feet into the air. "Fuck!" He yelled as he tried to run away.
