Chan woke up to Jeongin's sleeping peacefully. Chan glanced at the clock that adorned the wall and saw that it was 2:30 AM. Chan looked at Jeongin, admiring his visulas, before slowly pulling himself out of bed. Once he was sure Jeongin wouldn't wake up, he grabbed a pack of cigarettes he had stored in his bag and walked out onto Jeongin's terrace.

Chan leaned his arms onto the frosted railing and flicked his lighter. The flame met the end of his first cigarette and kick started his routine.

It was colder than usual that night. The air was still and sharp, but Chan had grown used to that feeling. The sky was still darker than ever with little specks of light sprinkled throughout it. Chan sighed, releasing a cloud of breath and nicotine.

Chan had something called insomnia. Habitual sleeplessness. The inability to sleep. Chan thought he was overcoming it for a while. He began to get 2-3 hours of sleep for almost an entire week. Then he started waking up every 30 minutes and realized his relief was only temporary. That's why Chan started smoking in the first place.

Chan's train of thought halted when he heard the terrace door sliding open. He turned around and saw the world in front of him. Jeongin was wrapped in a large blanket with his oddie on, rubbing his sleepy eyes. "Chan? Why'd you leave?" Jeongin asked as he stepped out into the cold. Chan quickly put out his cigarette and lifted Jeongin off of the cold ground.

"You shouldn't come out here." Chan scolded. Jeongin snuggled into Chan's warmth and wrapped his legs around Chan's waist. "Neither should you." Jeongin spoke. His words left clouds of warmth in the air. Jeongin wrapped the blanket around himself and Chan. "Let's go inside." Chan decided. "No!" Jeongin protested.

Chan raised an eyebrow at Jeongin, but ultimately stayed outside like Jeongin wished. "The sky is so pretty." Jeongin noted. "Not as pretty as you." Chan teased. Jeongin groaned and pinched Chan's cheek lightly. "That was so cheesy." He giggled.

Chan held Jeongin in the cold, trying to desperately keep him warm, rubbing his arms and legs with his large hands. Jeongin eventually fell back asleep, so Chan brought him back inside. He laid Jeongin onto the soft mattress and wrapped a few more blankets around him.

Chan was about to go back outside, but a small cold hand reached out and tugged his shorts. "Stay." Jeongin pleaded. Chan didn't want to say no, but he also felt compelled to retreat back outside. He didn't want to leave his soft boyfriend alone in a cold be when he was there to warm it up for him. What kind of boyfriend would that make him? "Okay." Chan finally answered.

Jeongin moved some of the blankets and Chan slipped in right beside him. "Don't leave me." Jeongin said. He wrapped his arms around Chan's neck and pulled himself almost on top of Chan.

"I won't." Chan promised.
