Chapter 5 WHAT?!?!?

It can't be. He was just over there talking to.... She looks back over where Mike and Vic were just at and just sees the back of Mike's hat as he walks away shaking his head. She looks back over and sees Vic going off on Sherri. She decided to walk over there and see what is going on before things get any worse.

Jen: Hey what's going on over here?

Vic: Why don't you ask your lil friend over here?

Jen: Okay well that was really a question towards both of you and it was pretty much just open to whoever would like to give an actual answer.

Vic: Well your friend over here decided that it was a good idea to come here tonight after almost 3 years like nothing happened and drop a bomb like she just did right before we go on stage. Did you know any of this? What she had planned?

Jen: Did I know what? Wait are you the... Is he the one you were telling me about?

Sherri: Let me explain, please!?!

Jen: Explain what? That you lied to me and used me just so you can get in here? So you can try and get him back? How about no! I'm good!

Sherri: Wait, it's not what you think. You have to hear me out.

Jen: No, I don't. I'm done with you. Good luck on your show!

She says to Vic as she turns around to walk away before they can see the tears welling in her eyes. She's sure they are just giant swimming pools of tears held up in her eyes like hostages in a bank. She goes over to Anna and tells her that she is leaving and asks if she can get a ride home. Bret says he will take her. They see she looks upset and ask if she is okay. She reassures them she is alright and asks if they knew where Essie was. They shook their heads no and say that they will let her know and take her home with them. She walks out of the club and heads to her car. She sees a girl and guy making out by the cars. She thinks that she recognizes the girl as she is walking past. As she gets closer she sees that it's Essie but that doesn't look like JC. She turns her head and just jogs to the car. She doesn't want to think about anybody or anything else right now. She doesn't think she can handle much more of anything right now. She starts the car and connects her ipod up to listen to anything to take her mind off it all. The music comes on and of course what starts to play none other than Pierce The Veil and of course one of her favorite songs starts to play, Hold on till may. She clicks the artists button and decides to listen to Black Veil Brides. She turns it up and heads straight home.

She gets home and walks in to see him sitting on the couch playing call of duty. She takes off her shoes grabs a controller and plops down on the couch. He gives her a look like you really want to play? She nods and says yea. So they sit and play for awhile in silence accept the occasional tip or ask for help. They made it to round 26 and their luck ran out. As she's about to get up and head to the bathroom for a shower he stops her.

D: Did you like the gift?

Jen: Do we really need to do this right now? It hasn't exactly been a great night.

D: Sorry to hear that. I just wanted to talk and get rid of the awkward silence between us. I tell you what, are you hungry?

Jen: Yea a little I guess.

D: How about I take you out to eat? We don't even have to talk. We can sit in silence. What do you say?

Jen: Sure lets go.

They end up going to IHOP. She was happy cause some French toast sounds really good right now. But, she looks at him suspiciously. This was the first place they ever had a meal together the first night they ever hung out. So many years and a lot of heart ache later and here they are. They go in and eat and shared a few laughs. He helped her forget everything else going on. She sat in the car staring out the window on the way home. He didn't like to see her like this so he thought that he would give it a try and talk to her.
