Chapter 6 The truth & tour

Jen: (Smiling) I am just messing with you. I had to pull your leg after all. Honestly, I was just going to tell you my truth.

Vic: Ha, ha! Very funny.

Jen: I am living with my ex boyfriend though. He and I were together for over 5 and a half years. He cheated on me several times and I stayed in the apartment because he was keeping a roof over my head while I was finishing school. I have been out for awhile now and have paid off everything. Now I just need to save for a place.

Vic: So is there any chance you still have any feelings for him at all?

Jen: No! I went down that road too many times and still ended up with the same result. He lied and cheated and broke my heart so much I don't think I even know how to love or trust anybody ever again. Which is why I wanted to warn you.

Vic: About what?

Jen: To stay away from me. I don't want to hurt you. I am no good for you or anybody. I am not meant to be with anybody and I have accepted it. I felt something for you when I first met you. And the more I get to know you the more I do. Which is why I am telling you this.

Vic: That is not true. You cant really mean that.

Jen: Yes, I do. This is reality and I don't think that believing in any childhood fantasy is going to do me any good. I just accept it for what it is. Me not being able to trust anyone is only going to strain what we may have and I will only push you away. I don't want to hurt you like that.

Vic: Jen, I don't even know what to say right now. Look, we are leaving to finish our tour for a few weeks. Will you come with me?

Jen: What? You barely even know me why would you ask me that? You don't know who I am or the type of person I am. Why would you want me to go? And after everything I just told you.

Vic: Because I want a chance to see if this can be something. Maybe, just maybe love does exist. I heard everything you said. I really like you too. I have been hurt before too and maybe we can try and get through it together.

Jen: One more thing I have two grown daughters too. That girl Brett is now with Anna is mine and so is Essie.

Vic: I know JC told me. As well as warning me about hurting you.

Jen: What? That I did not know.

Vic: It's okay I understand. The guys have a lot of love and respect for you. So what is my answer? Will you come?

Jen: Sure! I am on vacation for two weeks. So that's what I give you then I come back.

Vic: Deal! But you have to listen to what I say and do it.

Jen: Alright don't push it!

Vic leaned in pulled her close, and kissed her softly. They ended up going to the bed and made out some more. They ended up falling asleep in bed with his arms around her. He woke up and snuck out for a minute before she woke up. When she woke up she saw that he was gone. She was getting her stuff when he walked back in.

Vic: Hey sleepy head! I just went to go and talk to the guys about you coming with us on tour. And....

Jen: And what? They said no, huh? It's alright I understand.

Vic: Woo-oh wait  a minute. They said hell yea. They have a request though.

Jen: What would that be?

Vic: Well a little birdie told them that you happen to be quite the cook. So they would love it if maybe once in awhile you would make a home cooked meal?!?!?!?
