Smile's POV

"Get down!" some soldier on the left side screamed as a huge cloud of dust covered the air, panting and coughing I try to look around and locate any of the scumbags from the Sun clan that thought that attacking on Saturday morning is a good idea- I swear to god I will slaughter them one by one, not caring if they leave family and friends behind. After looking around for a bit I decide to stay low and take cover from any new incoming flash bombs flying towards our direction.
After a couple of moments the dust finally faded away and the ruined battlefield was revealed- a lot of injured on both fighting sides- I try to look around for any loses from our side but I didn't spot any, I sigh with relief and start making my way back to where our entire brigade was hanging out till I heard shallow breathing, struggling to breath with all the dust air in the air. I turn to look and don't notice anything at first but when I am about to turn around and continue making my way back I hear my name called out- "S-smile.." I look around again and see him, lying under piles on what remained of the battlefield. I bow down and lift him up to find that the person who is struggling to breathe with a hoodie on is Kay, my host- my family.
"What the hell happened?!" I yell and rush to lift him up but he fought me and begged to be left lying down- claiming that the pain is way too intense for him to handle, I scan around his bloody clothes and find a lot of cuts, bruises and gashes all over his body, making it seem like an animal attacked him, I sigh and slowly put him down on the ground.
"Did they do this to you?" I ask as I try to apply pressure on the open wound on his chest with my neck gaiter. I tried to do as much as I can without all the needed supplies to actually treat a wound and told Kay to stay in place and if something- stab or shoot the person trying to move him, even if its one of ours- he looked confused and asked why would he attack any of our own soldiers and with a simple thought process I said "Because they don't have my permission to do so".

I turn and start running towards the camp with all the soldiers and medics from our brigade and yell "I need help- Kay is heavily injured and I can't bring him over here!" and at an instance about 5 medics grabbed their medical bags and started making their way- following me from behind.
We reach Kay and I see a son of a bitch Sun clan soldier lying near him, with a gash over his face- I run towards Kay and pull him away from the dead body, scanning Kay and then the body and understanding that this is a result from Kay's hidden blade. I sigh and grab the dead body, dragging it away from the area so medics won't have any distraction in their area. All the medics gather around Kay and ask me to help remove any armor that may harm him. After doing so, they simply asked to take his bloody and probably infected clothes off and cover him with their "trauma" blanket. I cover Kay and crouch behind him, making sure the blanket is around him and provide support so the medics can actually take a good look at what they are working with.
One of them, which I guess is a newbie to this whole situation moves to the side and calls the base operator- telling them that they will need a ride back to the base so they will be able to take better care and disinfection the wounds properly with the right equipment back at the base. I sigh and look down at Kay's face which switches from being conscious to unconscious every couple of minutes- I presume it's from the intense pain of the injuries he has suffered.
The medics thank me for the help and tell me to go have a breather around the area- I shrug and get up, leaving Kay all to the hands of the docs and look around, I mean, a breather? with all the bodies lying around? very nice. I decide to go see what the soldier who tried to attack Kay was up to even if he is dead right now- I bet he has some clues in his pockets, any useful information about  the Sun Clan's plans perhaps.
I reach the area I have moved the body to and crouch down- starting to pat his pockets, grabbing any left over ammo packs on him, bandages, water and notes.
I look down at him and decide to roll him so his face is facing the sky- he is probably as young as Kay is and probably has left his family and maybe even a girlfriend behind all alone and worried for his safety. I brush my hand over his eyes, closing them and whisper "rest in piece" even if he was my enemy- I bet he didn't really have a choice when they recruited him for war.
I click my tongue and get up "it doesn't matter- he was on the wrong side of the battle and I should not care about what he left behind him" I grunt and make my way back to where Kay and the medics are, seeing the emergency vehicle being loaded with all the medic bags and two medics strapping Kay to a stretcher, I walk over to one of them, "Anything I should know about his condition?" I ask him- he turns to face me and sighs "He will survive, I am sure but it will take a while for him to recover- especially since they managed to get though his rib cage and close to the heart that is already weak without all the injuries he has suffered but worry not- he is in good hands now" he said, giving a reassuring smile and climbs onto the vehicle. I stand behind the vehicle and watch as it starts making its way towards the direction of our base, I look around and click my tongue again- making my way back to the brigade camp near the battlefield. This is surely going to be a bitch to explain to the others.
