Sonic Chronicles

Episode 2

(Other episodes won't be this long. I just didn't feel like separating this into separate episodes.) 

Sonic and Knuckles raced down the streets of Mobius, in a bid to find Tails. But it wans't easy. The duo had to fight through many of the doctor's mechs. Egg Gunners. The main mechs of the Eggman Empire. Standing a foot taller than Sonic, these white and black colored robots come equipped with a propulsion system which enables them to hover , a machine gun mounted on their left arms, and a missile launcher on their right arms. Sonic and Knuckles had to plow through these as fast as they could not knowing what kind of danger Tails could be in. Knuckles pierced through the mechs' chest with his spiked knuckles while Sonic used his Homing Attack to destroy them. Soon enough all the mechs in the area were defeated and the duo could continue to push forward.

"Where do we even know where to look?" Knuckles asked Sonic as they ran.

"I don't know who this guy is but if he's the same as every other villain I'm guessing he'd take him back to his base or something."

"Okay...but where's his base?"

"Still trying to figure that out."

"What?!" 

Knuckles suddenly came to a stop as Sonic followed.

"You mean to tell me you don't even know where he is?!"

"What's your excuse, Knuckles? Why don't you know huh?"

"Well...I...uh..."

"Yeah...thought so."

Knuckles looked up after hearing something to see some Egg Gunners coming from behind a tall building.

"Look!" Knuckles said as he pointed toward them.

"They're coming from behind that building. Which I'm guessing means there must be some sort of activity there."

"It's worth checking out. Let's go!"

Sonic and Knuckles raced over toward the tall building but were being careful so they wouldn't get spotted. When they approached the building, they looked behind it to find a medium size base about 15 feet tall surrounded by destroyed buildings. The base had a chrome finish and on the front of the base was a red and black colored 2D head of Eggman.

"Do you think he's in there?" Knuckles asked Sonic.

"There's only one way to find out."

"Wait, Sonic." Knuckles said as he grabbed Sonic's arm.

"I'll climb this building and glide over the base real quick to see if I can see anything inside."

"How do you know that thing has windows?" Sonic asked.

"On the way over I noticed it had one huge window on the front."

"Alright, but make it quick."

"Got it."

Soon enough Knuckles climbed the building and looked around to see if there were any Egg Gunners in the area. Seeing none, he proceeded to do a quick flyby over the base. 

"Ugh...I can't see anything. The only way I'll be able to see anything is if I look through that window. But that's suicide."

As Knuckles continued to glide over the base he saw a door slide open on the side. He then saw someone walk out. It was Dr. Eggman.

"Eggman! This must be it!"

Knuckles raced back to Sonic and told him he saw Eggman walk out of the base.
