- Love doesn't automatically appear, it's made-

Daryl POV

"Todays the day, we're gonna find some food, maybe some people. The law of averages has gotta catch up" Rick said as he drove.

"I don't know. We ain't seen nobody in weeks. Maybe we ain't gonna find noboday. Maybe thats a good thing" I said, looking out the window. After a few seconds, I look over at Rick. Who was pulling a cd out

"Don't" I said, not wanting him to turn the music on, " don't. please don't" But Rick ignored me and began snapping his fingers whenever the music started playing. I looked over at him, not believing this.

"Draws them away from home" Rick told me in a loud voice as he turned the volume up. We drove for a good few minutes before turning. But Rick stopped and back up, heading toward the place that said Sorghum. We soon parked and got out of the car. I brought my backpack out with me, grabbing a crowbar out.

"Hey, hold up" I called out to Rick. "Its best to be safe. You cover it?"

"yeah" Rick said, bringing his gun up and aimed at the garage door. I used the crowbar to help open it. I quickly pulled it up, finding no walkers inside.

"Yeah, we're good" Rick said, looking at the side of the truck that was inside. "One more time" Rick said, pointing to the door that was on the back of the truck.

"It ain't locked" I told him. I moved the handle and lifted it up, finding a lot of food in it.

"well how about that. The law of averages " Rick said as I saw some babies supplies and quickly looked through it. I soon found some vitamins that Lia would need. Rick was behind me, looking around, keeping an eye out for any walkers. I grabbed two bottles of the vitamins, stuffing them in my bag. Lia wouldn't tell anyone about her unborn child so she won't get the help she needs. I might as well help since I do know about it.

"Lets get this thing going. Grab our gear, come back for the car later. Take another way back, see what we can see" Rick said as I climbed up, pulling the door down.

"Think it'll start?" I asked him.

"Yeah, I do" he answered.

We pulled into a old gas station, going to see what we can see. Rick parked near the road and we got out of the vehicle. I looked around as I walked up to the door to try and opened it, but it was locked very tight. I jerked the handle, only to hear the rattle of chains from inside. I stepped up to the glass and wiped some sort off of the window. Everything was pretty much dark inside. And from what I was able to see , there was nothing inside. The shelves looked empty and it wasn't worth the trouble to try and get in there. I sighed, turning around and began walking away from the door. I frozed when I saw a vending machine laying face down in the parking lot. I had to see what's in it.

"Yo!" I called, waving Rick over, "come give me a hand with this"

Rick came over and began helping me lift the machine up. We both groaned with effort but we didn't get it off the ground. Probably only a inch off. "I don't think we got it" Rick said, breathing heavily, rotating his shoulders as well. I glanced back at the truck, as an idea coming to my head.

"I got an idea, "I told him, making my way to the truck. I pulled a chain out from the back. I wrapped one end of the chain around the vending machine and the other one around the hitch. Rick climbed back into the van, and rolled it forward. The vending machine rolled over and I whistled for Rick to stop. Rick stopped the van and climbed out, coming back to me. I was running the dirt away when Rick reached me.
