Chapter 9: The Gala Part 1

***ELLE'S POV***

I was watching re runs of Love and Hip Hop Atlanta when i heard someone buzzing at the gate. I looked at the security cameras and saw the UPS truck outside. The gaurds checked him for weapons then they opened the gate and let him inside.

"I have a delivery for a Miss Elle Banks"

"That's me" i signed the clipboard then i took the package from him. It was a really long box with a medium sized box attatched to it. Sursprisingly, it wasn't that heavy. I carried the boxes inside and went up to my room.

I decided to open the longer box first. I unwrapped the paper and removed the top layer of the box. I nearly fainted when i saw what was inside.

It was a one of a kind, hand sewn dress, designed by April Madison herself. The dress was breathtaking. It was a bright red colored, floor length dress with long silky sleeves. The dress was made of a red silky material that flowed whenever it moved. There was a deep V cut going down the middle and a long slit going up the side. It was perfect for me.

Inside the box was a small card, written in perfect cursive.

"Wow" i said, speechless.

I hung the dress up in my closet and sat the box aside. I had almost forgotten about the other box that came with it. I removed the wrapping paper and then took off the top. Inside the box was a pair of silver, crystal studded Louibitan pumps with matching diamond jewelry. This woman had really out done herself.

"Aj, LeLe's here !" i yelled from the living room

"LEEELEEEEE !" he came running towards her and she picked him up.

"Hey boyfriend ! You ready to hang out with me tonight ?"

"Yes " he nodded energetically, making us both laugh.

"Thanks for keep him tonight"

"Girl please" she waved her hand nonchalantly. "If Aj is gone be my man when he turns eighteen, we better start the sleepovers early"

"Don't make me kill you over my baby" i joked.

"Im serious ! One day you'll be my step mommy" she joked

"You're a mess" i shook my head.

"I know" she laughed. "I guess we'll go ahead and get out of here so you can get ready"

"Alright, bye baby" I gave him a hug and kissed him on the forehead.

"Bye mommy" he waved

"Bye girl, i'll see you tomorrow"

"Bye" i waved at them as they got in the car. I closed the door behind them and headed to my bedroom to get ready for the gala.

I took a shower earlier so now all i had to do was my had to do was my hair and make up.

I started with my hair first. I parted it in sections, then i blow dried it straight. After my hair was straight enough, i turned off the blow dryer and got ready to wand curl it. When i was finished, my hair fell in big hollywood curls down my back. I pinned one side of my hair behind my ear with a diamond clip, then i flipped the rest over my shoulder.

Now that my hair was done, i could start on my make up. I decided to go all out so i applied my foundation and concealer, then i contoured my nose, forhead, and cheek bones. After that was done, i did a dark smokey eye and put on deep red urban decay lipstick.
