"Caden, get your ass out of bed. You don't want to be late for your first day of eleventh grade, do you?"

My mom was standing above me with her hand on her hip and her long set of blond and gray hair falling on my back. I moaned then told her I was okay with just staying home. She looked at me with shock filling her eyes then quickly turning to a look that burns to your core. I haven't seen that look on my mothers face in what seemed like centuries. "Mom, I've been going to school for two hundred years, it's twentytwentyone. Why do I have to continue to go to school?" I looked at her in curiosity.

She swiftly looked away from what she was doing and stared at me in the eyes. Her deep purple eyes tremor me to no end. I look away but I can still feel the glare from her eyes penetrate my skin.

"Fine, I'll go and I won't ask again. I'm sorry, mom."

Fifteen minutes later I arrive at school, looking around my campus, groups of friends standing around talking and waiting for the first bell to ring.

Ding, ding, ding

"Yay, math class is first."

I say to myself. Looking at my schedule to memorize it, I bump into someone. Just like in the movies, I look up and see her, I see a girl in front of me with black hair down to her waist, pale skin, black eyes, five foot and nine inches, thin but fit, and a black dress a few inches above the knee.

"I'm sorry, didn't mean to bump into. I should've been paying more attention." I tell her with a slight grin on my face.

"No, you're cool. Don't worry about it. My name is Evelyn, it's nice to meet you." She said in the sweetest voice and with a full smile on her face.

"My name is Caden, nice to meet you too."

We help each other pick put all of her stuff. Evelyn caught a glimpse of my schedule and she noticed that we had the exact same schedule.

Ding, ding, ding

"Finally, the last bell."

I get up from my chair as quickly as possible.

"I don't want to see her again, there was just something about her that was similar to me but it was more intense."

I see her out of the corner of my eye. I try to veer to the left so I can avoid her this time.
