+Elena's P.O.V+

I smiled at the customer as I handed her the coffee she had ordered.

"Have a nice day!" I said as she grabbed the coffee from my hand.

"Thank you, you too!" she chirped back and set money into the tip jar then walked out of the cafe. I let out a sigh of relief as I looked at my tip jar. It's full of tens and twenties and maybe even a couple of fifties since this side of town tends to have the rich people that just throw money out there as if they are throwing candy out at a parade. It's very generous of course and I'm not complaining but it can get very exhausting when you see all these fancy dressed people but then there is you who can barely get a months rent paid. I sighed and smiled as a boy, probably around my age, walked into the cafe and up to the counter.

"Hello," his deep Australian accent very evident in his voice. I cleared my throat and looked up at him.

"Hi, what can I get ya?" I questioned as my hands grasped the counter.

"May I have an Iced Mocha Latte?" he responded as I nodded and typed it into my cash register.

"That will be four dollars and fifty cents," I told him as my own Australian accent surprised me, the blood began rushing to my face. He chuckled as he handed me ten dollars.

"Keep the change," he told me and smirked as he stepped aside to wait for his drink. I gulped as I went back to start making his Iced Mocha Latte. Something about him is familiar. His dark hair, cute smile, and tattoos all over..wait... that's no stranger I noticed as I looked at him more when I came back with his drink.

"Calum?" I questioned as I stood on the other side of the counter from him. He smiled at me as he reached for his drink to take out of my hand.

"I was waiting for you to recognize me, Elena," he chuckled as he took his sunglasses off. My heart began beating loudly as I gulped and stared up at him.

"W-What are y-you doing here?" I questioned, my own voice beginning to fail me.

"Well the boys and I just finished our YoungBlood tour so we came back home to see family for a bit," he explained as he took a sip from his cup. I looked down at the counter not being able to control my emotions.

"So L-Luke is h-here?" I asked him as I found the granite counter top so fascinating.

"Yes he is, he is actually waiting outside in the car for me," he told me as I gulped even louder than before.

"Oh, w-well you should probably g-get going then," I told him as I noticed customers coming in.

"Yea I guess I should, we will be around for a bit so I will see you around," he smiled at me as he turned and left the cafe. I looked at the time and noticed it was three in the afternoon meaning my shift has ended. I turned to see Gale, my co-worker, walk into the cafe. I smile at him as I go to clock out and grab my stuff to start heading home. I empty my tip jar into an envelope then I say bye to those behind the counter then I make my way out to my car. As I get into my car I can still feel my heart thumping loudly. Why does Luke have to be back? He was supposed to stay away and never come back. I shake my head as I pull out and start heading home to my cozy apartment.

I scrolled through Instagram as I sat in bed not feeling very tired. I looked at the time which read eleven at night. I sighed as I got out of bed and threw on black Victoria Secret leggings and a white baggy sweatshirt. I slipped my uggs on and grabbed my purse and phone then headed out the door. Whenever I can't sleep I find myself going to the park where Luke and I used to go when we needed an escape from reality. It's my place of comfort where I feel I can just forget everything that's going on in my life right now. As I get there I park my car in the parking lot and then I get out and walk towards the swings where Luke and I always used to sit and talk. I sighed and sat down as a tear rolled down my cheek as  I remembered the last time we came here together.

*FLASHBACK*

"Luke stop it!" I screamed as I pushed me higher on the swing almost giving me a heart attack.

"Alright, alright," he chuckled as he grabbed my swing to slow me down. I turned and looked at him.

"Are you gonna take it?" I questioned him as his mood changes and he stares down at the ground.

"I already said yes Elena," he mumbled and at that moment my heart shattered into a million pieces.

"What?" I questioned as my voice wobbled.

"Calum, Michael, Ashton, and I said we will take the offer," he explained causing me to look away from him.

"So that's it? You're just gonna leave your home, your family," tears ran down my cheeks, "me?" I questioned as I stood up from the swing and turned to face him.

"It's a great deal Elena and I won't be gone forever just a few years!" he exclaimed not telling me anything good.

"Whatever Luke," I mumbled as I wiped my tears and grabbed my bag.

"Don't do this Elena," he pleaded but I chose to ignore him.

"See ya later Luke," I called over my shoulder as I walked towards my car, not knowing that argument would be the last thing him and I said to each other.

*END OF FLASHBACK*

I wiped the few tears rolling down my face. Why did things have to end that way between him and I? We were so happy before that we also laughed with each other and smiled together, we rarely fought. The sad thing is that is how he left it. I didn't know when he was leaving so I figured he would come and make things right the next day like he always does... but the next day he left without even telling me goodbye. I sigh as I stand up from the swing...

I wonder if I ever cross his mind...

I shake my head, of course you don't he probably only thinks about his band, fans, and current girlfriends. I head back to my car and as I look at the time it reads one in the morning. I laugh and shake my head, well no sleep for me I guess. I turn the music on as I drive back to my apartment, let's just get this day over already...
