Izuku ran down the street, gaze fixated on the ground as he ran. Just as he turned the corner, he ran into someone. Rubbing his head, he looked up. A tall man dressed in black, long scruffy black hair draping over his shoulders covered by a long bandage like scarf.
"S-sorry sir." Izuku apologised, bowing a little. 'Fuck! Fuck! Shit! That's EraserHead!'
How the heck do you know this? And watch your profanity, Izu!
'I don't know and I don't care. Wait. I can talk to you just by thinking? Does that mean you can read my every though- STOP IT IZUKU! ERASERHEAD IS RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU!'
"Hey kid. You alright?" Eraser asked, crouching down. "You seem to be in a rush."
"...I-I uhh... I..." Izuku stuttered, looking around as he fiddled with the bottom of the hoodie.
What the hell are you doing?
'I don't know!' Izuku internally screamed before feeling himself being taken off the ground. 'W-what the...? What's EraserHead doing?'
"You're my son now. Let's take you to the hospital. You need to rest." Eraser said.
'Wait what?!' Izuku mentally yelled, eyes searching Eraser's face for any sign that he was joking.
His face was serious. He wasn't joking. Or if he was, he wore a great poker face. Eraser didn't say anything more. He walked off, heading towards the hospital. Izuku started to struggle in his grip, tugging at the black clothes Eraser wore. No use. He sighed in defeat as Eraser entered through the large glass doors. He walked up to the front desk, holding Izuku in front of him.
"EraserHead?! Thank you so much for finding Izuku! He just ran off without warning." The front desk lady exclaimed, taking Izuku from Eraser's grasp.
Izuku struggled in the brunette's grip, thrashing around as he clawed at her arms with scarred hands. The lady winced, trying to calm the greenette down. Izuku frantically kicked at her, shaking his head in protest. The glasses fell off and he stared at the lady. Anger and frustration clouded his mind as he willed his new quirk to do something, to do anything that could help him. A golden hue surrounded the lady and she froze. Izuku escaped her grip, landing on the white marbled ground with a loud thud.
"Oww..." He murmured, closing his eyes as he rubbed his head.
The lady unfroze, blinking a few times before staring down at the child on the floor. He stood up, hiding behind Eraser's legs as he hissed at the lady. Eraser stared in disbelief at the child who glared at the lady. He picked Izuku up, this time without any trouble. He grabbed the glasses and propped them back on Izuku's nose.
"He really doesn't like the hospital, huh?" He murmured, looking down at the child.
"No, he doesn't. He barely responds to us when we ask questions and doesn't like it when we tamper with the cords. Also..." she trailed off, voice turning to a whisper so Izuku couldn't hear. "He hates words with anything to do with 'experiment' or 'test'. He starts to hyperventilate when we mention them."
Eraser nodded in understanding, subconsciously petting Izuku's long, curly green hair.
"Does he have any parents?" Eraser asked, glancing down at the child who leaned into his touch.
"A mother. She comes by regularly to check on him." The lady replied, brushing back a few stray strands of her hair.
"I think he's well enough to go back to her. He seemed fine when I found him. Just tell me her address and I can drop him off." Eraser said.
"That is true. But are you sure? I don't want to cause you any trouble." The lady asked.
"It's fine. I'm not working anyway." Eraser reassured.
The lady nodded in understanding, giving EraserHead the address and checking Izuku out of the hospital. Eraser quickly left, Izuku still in his arms as he exited the hospital. Halfway down the street. Izuku finally asked the question that lingered in his mind.
"EraserHead," he started, earning a hum from the pro hero. "What did you mean by 'you're my son now'? I already have a family."
Eraser started to sweat, mentally facepalming, saying, "I don't know what came over me. That kinda just slipped out."
"Oh. Alright." Izuku murmured.
What do you mean, 'oh alright'? You just accepted that way to quickly and easily. What the fuck.
'Look who's using profanities now,' Izuku mentally snickered. 'But come on. He's sweating buckets. I don't wanna put more pressure on the man for lying to a kid. Plus, he's a pro hero. He has it tough enough as it is.'
True, true. Well, we're almost home. I'm just glad to be out of that hell hole. Seriously.
'You said it, Deku. You said it.'
Eraser reached Izuku's house, placing the greenette on the flat's entrance before knocking on the door. Footsteps echoed inside as the door burst open, a long green haired woman revealing herself.
"E-EraserHead? W-what brings y-you here?" Inko stuttered, shock and surprise evident in her voice as she spoke.
Eraser just gestured down to Izuku who hugged his mother. Startled, Inko hugged back with a smile plastered on her face.
"Your son ran out of the hospital. The front lady said he was well enough to come back home." Eraser explained, causing a more shocked expression to etch itself into Inko's face.
"Really?! I didn't think Izuku would do such a thing. Well, thank you for bringing him here." Inko thanked.
"Thank you EraserHead!" Izuku smiled a cheeky smile, hugging the hero's legs before running inside the house.
EraserHead said his goodbye's before walking off, leaving the mother and son to themselves. He trudged along the cobble streets back to his apartment where he found his roommate Hizashi Yamada, Present Mic, broadcasting his radio show.
