i decide to surprise amber at work today. it's not a special day or anything but i haven't got to see her in a while and i really miss her.
sure, we text all the time but that gets boring after a while. i walk through the door of the spoon and see amber at the counter. she looks up at me and smiles.
"hey babe," she says as i sit down.
"hi gorgeous." i reply.
"what are you doing here?" she asks sitting a strawberry milkshake in front of me.
"what? can i not come and see my girlfriend at work?" i ask before taking a drink of my milkshake.
"no, actually, i get in trouble every time you come here because you're such a distraction." she winks.
"ha ha very funny." i say sarcastically. "when's your next day off cutie?"
"saturday." she says after a moment of silence.
"amber! back to work! you've got customers at table 5!" amber's boss yells.
"i dont even know which table that is..." she laughs before giving me a kiss from across the counter and saying goodbye.
