"Determination, true determination, is eating that last slice of pie even though you're stuffed."

"I'm going to prank Silk," I announced. An evil grin spread across my face.
"Don't go too complex," Amos advised me, plugging in his laptop. "Silk seems smart. Go with a simple prank or she'll catch on.""Amos," Rocket groaned, pausing in his work to put away all the guns. "Don't help her."
"Amos," I groaned, pitching my voice low and gravelly in a mocking of Rocket's voice. "Always help Trix."
Trina looked up from the money she was counting and raised an eyebrow. I gave a shrug in response. She raised her eyebrow higher. My eyes widened. Trina shot me a glare.
"Fine," I sighed, dragging out the word.
"And you two claim you don't have twin telepathy," Cooper chuckled. He quickly disassembled his bomb and put it away.
"We don't," We said in unison, staring at him until he looked away nervously.
Trina went back to counting the stolen money, and I flounced out of the basement and up to my room. Our gang house was an old church outside of town. It's perfect because there's no one around to hear the screams and gunshots. Not to mention, it's big enough for all of us.
Trina and I still had to share a room, though. Which was fine. Trina refused to sleep in a room without me. She's still crazy protective because of the last time she slept somewhere else. It was years ago. I thought she should just get over it. But no. She's still all boring and only a little bit interesting.
I mean, even our room showed it. The room had tan tile and light gray walls, but my walls were covered in clippings from the funny comics part of the newspaper. Trina's walls were completely empty. My bed was overflowing with various stuffed animals and pillows and way more blankets than I'd ever use. Trina's bed had one blanket and one pillow.
Like I said. BORING.
Once inside my room, I immediately made a beeline for one of my candy stashes. I needed some sugar.
Unwrapping the first chocolate of the hour was always a heavenly treat. Oh, wait. That describes the unwrapping and eating of any candy any time.
About thirty candies later, a pile of wrappers littered the floor beside me and Trina walked in. Seeing my candy, she decided to take a piece and sat down in front of me.
"We have a few minutes," Trina told me. "Then we're going to the store. Rocket and Eli went home for the night and Roman's gonna hang out here."
"He isn't going with us?" I said, furrowing my brows. I popped another piece of candy in my mouth and tilted my head in confusion.
"No, remember, he isn't allowed in the grocery store anymore," Trina reminded me, eying my pile of wrappers before giving me a pointed look.
"Oh, yeah," Was my clever reply. "And don't worry, Trina, I'll throw them away befo—Oh, my gosh!! I need to get ready to go now!"
I leaped to my feet and raced to my dresser, tripping in the process. I bounced to my feet and hurried to get socks and shoes on. I accidentally grabbed matching socks, but I was in too much of a hurry to change them.
"Why the rush all the sudden?" Trina laughed, standing up as well, throwing away my pile of wrappers.
"I have had a vision!" I exclaimed, grinning widely. "I know how I'm going to prank Silk and I need supplies! And I need them now!"
