"She wanted her heart to be stolen by a pretty boy, but she didn't mean it so literally."

Disassembled bomb pieces laid scattered beside me. My legs dangled off the side of the roof as I stared up at the sky. The sun was still low, the clouds thin and bright. I was supposed to practicing disassembling and reassembling bombs, but I practice that every day and I didn't think it was possible to get any faster at it.
So instead, I sat there on the roof, regretting my life choices.
It was Sunday, half a week since Silk joined our gang, the Foxes. In those few days, I learned many things about her. One, she's even more unpredictable than Trix. Two, she's even more bipolar than Eli. Silk has two sides to her, an intense and focused side and a lazy and relaxed side. I had no clue what triggered the different sides of her. Another thing, Silk was as scary as Rocket. Maybe even scarier, since I wasn't used to her.
The front door slammed open and I heard Molly call, "Cooper! Come on! Rocket and Trina have decided what lessons Silk is taking and teaching!"
"I'm coming!" I replied. "Give me a second to pack this up!"
Quickly, I crammed all the pieces of the bomb back into the black sack where they go. I made my way to the lowest part of the roof and hoisted my self over the edge, dropping down to the ground below. I hurried to put away the sack and head to the gym. Neither Rocket nor Trina was very pleasant when they were kept waiting.
"Alright!" Rocket called to get everyone's attention. "Trina and I have decided on the three lessons Silk will be receiving and teaching. I will be working with Silk on weapons training and Eli will be working with her on hand to hand combat." He looked at me and paused before saying, "And Cooper will be teaching Silk how to be human."
What? How to be human? What's that supposed to mean?
"Silk will be teaching Trix how to control herself and me how to hide my emotions," He muttered that last bit, shooting Trina a glare. It was clear that Rocket chose the lessons Silk would be receiving and Trina chose what Silk would be teaching. "Also, instead of a third lesson, Silk will be introducing Molly to people so Molly can network and develop more connections."
I smiled slightly at that, knowing that Molly had been wanting to develop high-class contacts. This way she had more different tools in her tool bag. Sure enough, Molly was smiling happily as she stood in front of Trina and Rocket.
Realizing they had yet to explain my job, I awkwardly raised my hand and asked, "Um, what exactly am I supposed to do with Silk?"
"I'm sure all of you have noticed how stiff Silk acts," Trina said. "Your job is to help her be more humane, at least so she can act like a normal person when she goes undercover."
"Having Silk be able to go undercover would be an incredible tool," Chioma murmured thoughtfully, nodding her head in agreement.
Most gangs didn't do this, but ours had lessons on the weekends we didn't have jobs. Because we all have unique skill sets, we decided to teach each other these skills so that everyone in the gang could improve. Rocket had this extreme desire to be the best gang in the Phantom Syndicate and this drive had spread to the rest of us.
"Cooper, you'll be going first with Silk. Everyone else, head to your normal lessons," Rocket announced, giving me a look I couldn't interpret.
I shoved my hands in my pockets and nervously told Silk, "Come on, then. We should find a quiet room away from everyone else so there aren't any distractions."
