Freedom almost swallowed the cigarette he flinched and looked at his back and saw Maria in a white silk dress he sat down on a wooden chair she looked at him "Why you can't sleep?" Maria asked.

He puts out his cigarette and looked up the sky "I'm just thinking of my parents..." with a deep sigh,

Maria looked at him "What happened to them..?'' she asked,

Freedom looked at her and his eyes is melancholic one he looked above the sky

"They we're killed...my father protected me...and my mother sacrificed herself...to save me.." her eyes became watery her marble eyes disappeared

"My condolences..." she looked above the sky watching the stars sparkled and the full moon shone upon the earth.

"My parents we're killed as well...when I was still a baby..." he looked at her cheeks are with tears

''They...we're shot...because they want to be free...'' Maria looked at him and wiped her tears off and her face turned serious her eyebrows furrowed

"The Americans killed them...that is why I was glaring at you...But you said to me you are a friend and a comrade...Can I tell you something?'' He shrugged

"I'll keep my mouth shut...if it's a secret...'' Maria sighs

"My parents are part of the revolution...that is why my grandfather wants you to keep an eye on me..." she touched his shoulder and looks at him

"Pinkie swear?" she tilted her head her face really trust him and he sighs and does the pinkie swear with her.

"Alright then...I'll keep my mouth shut..." Maria smiled and stood up

"Let's go to the dining room then..." Maria walked down the stairs using the right stairs it's a rule in the house that women used the right stairs and the men used the left one, she went to the kitchen, while Freedom sat down on the living room he was writing something on his journal and Maria went inside the dining room holding a tray with two cups of coffee he loved the scent of a coffee early in the morning she puts down the tray and grabbed the cup and hands it towards him, he grabbed the cup of coffee and blew it and took a sip Maria sat down and took as well and her eyes we're glued at him and Freedom looked at her directly to her eyes and both of them looked away.
