Author's note; just want to say, before you read this chapter, that I do read all of your comments and make mental notes of your wishes, but generally my stories have been planned out in advance. There are exceptions; the chapter with David came about to a person's comment in the early chapters, but mostly if I don't do what you are wishing for, it is nothing personal. But please do continue to comment, they keep me going!

Well?"

"He's asleep."

My mate looked slightly sheepish and maybe a little concerned, despite the glowing aura of a man that had happily fucked.  A purr of contentment rose in my throat, knowing how just good it felt to be buried in Alex's sweet body.  We never knew that we were missing an element to our relationship until we met him and he fitted so perfectly into our lives that now we both wondered just how we had lived without him. Of course that did not mean that we didn't need each other any less.

"Don't worry about it," I said dismissively, holding forth a coffee.  "He often falls asleep once sated recently." And from the sounds that I had heard echoing in the bedroom, Alex was most definitely sated.  "I figured it was from the fact that his work at the hospital had been more tiring of late."

"Maybe," Michael replied with a frown as he took the coffee and sipped it.  He sounded a little uncertain.

"Well what else could it be?" I asked him.  But he just shrugged and continued to savour the caffeine.  "How are you feeling?"  The tension in the car had been enough to cut a knife, so I had held Michael back hoping Alex would calm down a little.  But after our boy took a shower, there remained no sign of him coming down to us.  Michael had already been desperate to comfort him at that point, the waiting had probably heightened his physical need for Alex as well, to the point he could no longer deny himself.

"Better, I didn't realise just how stressed I had been feeling, not being able to see and be with you both," he said, before dismissing his own words.  "No, I knew, but I denied it, thinking I could cope for now.  Management agreed to clearing the weekend after next for me.  I was planning to spend the entire weekend pampering the both of you."

"I don't need pampering," I said, but my tiger purred refuting my claim.  He loved to be pampered, whenever possible.  I coughed as if that could cover up his outrageousness.  "Of course, I would join you in pampering Alex, though."

He drained his coffee and glanced out of the patio doors and out into the garden.  "Join me for a run?" He asked.  I felt my tiger literally get up onto all four paws and shake his large form out following the suggestion.

"I thought you would never ask."

Changing forms into a larger beast, to me is like a full body sneeze.  One moment, your bones and flesh are all compacted into one form, the next your mass has expanded as have certain other features (fur, tail, claws... I wasn't being rude).  Every cell was left tingling and a certain sense of freedom seemed to pulse with each beat of your heart.  The only comparison I could think of was like stripping from really form fitting skinny leather pants, that sense of relief that comes over your body knowing you aren't so restricted anymore. Yes there is that whole uncomfortable bone realignment thing, but if you don't dwell on the brief moment of pain, then freedom was the most potent sensation.

I think that was why large wolves would suddenly stretch their legs and bolt upon shifting, that sense of freedom making them giddy to the point that they wanted to prolong it, dragging the rest of the pack with their momentum.  Michael was much the same, his silver wolf wound to his apex, ready to spring forth as he looked at me with excitable yellow eyes.  I pawed at the air beside his head and immediately he sprang into action, running full throttle towards the distant boundary.  As a predator myself, I decided to give chase.
