I knew Alex was worried and I felt bad for not being able to truly reassure him, however, like Eric, my memories seemed to be nothing but a blur of images after I caught them entangled on the bed.  A blur of erotic images.  Ah it had been quite a scene to come back to; the heady aroma of sex entwined with their delicious scents and the twist of the drugs, their glistening, naked bodies and the melody of soft moans and mewls that seemed to pour from a pleasured Alex as Eric took him.  I wasn't hurt that they hadn't waited and the 'punishment' I decided as Alpha to inflict on them simply involved taking control of the situation and dominating them both.

I sighed as I finally stepped out of the shower.  I was as disappointed as Eric that our minds did not hold on to what had occurred after we scented our mate, but more than that, I was incensed that someone drugged Alex in the first place.  I would have to test his blood as soon as possible to ensure he was clean.  The risk of poisoning was small and non-lethal, but he could suffer for a while without the correct treatment.

Eric was sulking in the kitchen and slid a bowl of Cheerios my way.  Clearly, whatever Alex had or not told him of what had occurred the night before had upset him.  I ate the Cheerios, not with relish, but as something to fill my stomach.  "What's wrong, love?" I asked him.

"I should not have asked," he sighed as Alex giggled, while turning slightly red. He growled slightly and leapt behind Alex and began to tickle him. "I am expecting a repeat!"

"No no no! Not gonna happen," Alex said between fits of giggles, increasing my own curiosity.

I waited until their play ended, with Eric kissing Alex's temple before nuzzling into his neck. Alex's face softened and his hand reached to stroke Eric's hair. "Are you alright now?" I asked Alex; he had not taken it well when we had realised he had been drugged.

He nodded. "Fortunately," he smiled, but it didn't quite reach his eyes, "after I drank... I headed straight for Eric wanting to dance with him and he whisked me away from the crowds straight after... otherwise..." he shuddered lightly and Eric wrapped his arms around Alex reassuringly.

"Don't think about it," I suggested. Things definitely could have been worse, it was better not to dwell on it. "Let's meet with the King."

Alex nodded and rose from his seat. "How do I smell?"

Eric took a deep breath; "Amazing." He stretched out the word, causing Alex to giggle and gently slap his arm.

I shook my head and advised him; "The scent of the drugs remains, but it is light and there should be no ill effects to others. But I do want to test your blood works on Monday, before work." Alex nodded in agreement.

Like most of the homes in the Pride lands, Eric's was located a loft in the branches of a tree. There were a few close by as well, some larger than others and all connected by small bridges. These all belonged to the Quinn family, Eric's parents and relatives. Eric's parents could be found in a property slightly separate from the rest of the cluster. Eric's father, though a warrior, was not really a people person and his mother was a bit... special. We planned to visit them today, but thanks to an idiots prank, that would be delayed.

We decided not to wait to be seen in the reception area of the tower for the King, thinking it better to not delay. It couldn't wait too long, the drugs in Alex's blood were dimming in scent and he was proof of our claims. We expected that he might have company when we knocked on the door and announced that we had an urgent matter to discuss with him, but we were not expecting who it turned out to be.

"Gabriel!" I said, startled.

"Michael," he greeted, calmly. Eric's eyes narrowed as he sidled protectively in front of both Alex and I. Gabriel sneered. "Call your guard tiger off, brother, I didn't come here to fight."
