Chapter 3
iii). You're freezer

We sit on the couches as Daniel turns on Netflix. Their is one couch on both sides of the room so the girls take one and the guys take the other.
We start watching the movie and the four other girls immediately get scared and start shaking of fear. A storm starts outside and that doesn't help their nerves. A huge thunder cracks followed by lightning and the four girls scream and run to the other side of the room.
"I'M TOO YOUNG TO DIE!!!" G screamed.
" I HAVEN'T EVEN HAD A GOOD BOYFRIEND! DON'T KILL ME YET!" Ashley joined in.
Ava and Ashley jumped in the arms of their brothers as Madelaine and G hug each other and start screaming.
"Guys it's just a storm. Just a little rain."I say.
They look at each other and sit on the floor.
"So girls really are scaredy cats eh." Jonah said.
"Well not Chloë apperently." Corbyn said.
"Ya I swear I heard you laughing at the movie earlier. It's supposed to be scary not funny." Zach said.
" It's just not that scary. The world has scarier things and we ignore them." I said.
"She's such a military kid." Daniel said as he sighs.
"Chloë it's raining!" Jack said urgently.
"Ya, I can see that. What's the big deal?" I ask
"Your bike!"
My eyes got wide and I ran out the door. Shit my my motercycle will be covered in rust and could break. I got it today. I run out the door in the pouring rain and grab my bike as Corbyn opens his garage for my to put my bike in.
I am freezing and dripping wet and I assume the beautiful make-up Madelaine did is now ruined and now my tank top and pants are soaking wet. Thank God I left my new jacket shoes and gloves inside. Jack runs out from the door that connects to the garage with a towel.
He wraps it around me and attempts to warm me up.
"Oh my god you are freezing." Jack said with a voice full of compation.
"Thanks for reminding me about my bike. I should have thought about the fact their was a storm coming." I said.
"Forget about the bike for a second. You are shaking. Did you bring extra clothes?" Jack asked.
I nod my head and he opens the door and leads me into the house. I walk upstairs and grab the clothes out of my bag. I try not to get Ashleys carpet wet, but fail.
I walk into Ashley bathroom.and change. I slip a pair of black skinny jeans and a plain pink t-shirt. I look at myself. I have mascara running down my face. I look around Ashley bathroom and find some make-up remover.
I'll just buy her some more. I think to myself. I remove all my makeup and look at myself. Without makeup you can see all my makeup and I've always been self-conscious about them. Since I can remember I have covered up my freckles. My skin is very clear and my eye lashes are long and black so I don't need mascara every. Same with my eyebrows they don't need anything but I always but foundation and concealer on. oh whatever I try not to think about it as I walk down and join the group.
"Hey your back. Where did those freckles come from." Zach said.
He points at me and everyone turns their head. I just shrug my shoulders.
"Man I wish I had freckles. People expect all red heads to have freckles, but I don't have em." Madzy.
"Your cute without them though Maz." Daniel said.
"Wow Dani boy. So subtle." Said Corbyn.
"Well I wasn't trying to be subtle." Daniel said as he winked at Madelaine and she rolls her eyes.
"Can we watch a different movie. That one was too creepy." G says.
"I agree" Ashley says.
As we discuss what movie to watch we hear loud sirens outside.
"THE PURGE!?!" Zach screams.
"No you idiot. It's a tornado warning." Jonah said as he hits Zach in the back of the head.
"We have to get downstairs." Ashley says
Zach screams and runs into the basement. We all laugh and go join him. They had another TV in the basement and one large couch. Corbyn put the news on to get the weather warnings as we all sat down. I sat on the edge of the couch as Jack sat next to me.
"Guys this looks really bad." Jonah said. He had his phone pulled up and showed us what the local weather station said.
"Stay inside in your basement. This one is gonna be bad ladies and gentlemen." Said the news reporter.
"Great that ruins our plans." Says Jack.
"Well we can still watch a movie." Madzy said.
"Let's watch the Titanic!" Ashley sugested.
"YA!" Ava cheered.
"YES that's the BEST movie!" I said.
"YESS" G screamed.
"TITANIC."
"No" Zach said.
Ava covered his mouth with her hand.
"Yes." She said
" I guess we are being out voted guys." Jack said. He said as he put his arm around me. I look at him and give him a death stare. He just sticks his tongue out at me but keeps his arm around me.
