Hope's POV
I looked back and see Niall was smiling at me like crazy. So I gave me a sweet smile and walked off.
I was going down the escalator when I saw a sign that says 'Payne'. I smiled.
"Are you Payne?" The man asked nicely. He had a black suit and tie followed by a limo driver hat on. A little over dressed i guess.
"Uhh yeep." I responded. Then we walked out the door to see a nice looking car parked right outside the airport. It was a grey-ish Toyota Avalon. The driver got my things and put it in the trunk. I went to go reach for the handle but driver beat me to it. I smiled kindly and he did the same. When I got in the car the cold air sent shivers up my spine.
"So you no my grandmother?" I asked.
He nodded. "She is a very caring lady."
I smiled, "Good." I began to look out the window and enjoy the scenery. There wasn't much to admire but I enjoyed that it was different then California. It was cooler here and had a bit more grasslands then we did. When we got into the main part of London, I smiled with joy in my eyes. I've always seen London in pictures. I just never dreamed of seeing it in person. I pressed my nose against the window and I hear the driver laugh. I saw the Big Ben and the Eye of London. There were people on the two-floored buses and dressed in over sized coats.
We started to go down multiple streets and I loved how beautiful they looked. Some were close together leaving with no space in between each other. And some had a little space but were closed in with beautiful flowers surrounding their whole house.
I began to think that was where we were staying and I wasn't complaining. I mean I used to live in a run down piece of shit, so. But we passed all those houses and the houses were becoming bigger. We began to slow when we reached a beautiful white house on the corner of the street. He pulled into the driveway and my jaw dropped. I couldn't believe my eyes.
The grass was freshly cut and had multiple different color flowers surrounding it. It had a beautiful front step way with a big, cream colored door. I can only imagine what it looked like on the inside. Who would of known my grandmother was rich.
The driver came to my door and opened it. I slowly stepped out with my jaw still dropped. This can't be real.
"Wow, this place is beautiful." I said with my eyes glued to the house.
He laughed. "You should tell you grandmother that." I looked at him and smiled. He went to grab my bags and then we walked to the door.
I nervously turned the knob and walked inside to see an old lady sitting on the couch. "Uh hello?" I said.
She looked me. "Hope?" she smiled and tried to get up.
I smiled too and ran over to her. "yeah, It's hope. It's nice to finally meet you."
"You don't remember me?" she said almost hurt.
I furrowed my eyebrows and shook my head. She sighed. "It's ok. I haven't seen you guys in a long time. We have a lot of catching up to do."
I smiled. "Yes we do. And your house is beautiful!"
"Thank you. Anyway your room is on the third floor. Mr. Gordon can you take her stuff up stairs for me?"
He nodded and I followed after.
This place was amazing. In the center of the house, right when you walk in there was a gorgeous chandelier. The walls were white and so were the stairs except there was a hint of gold stringing through it. When we made it to the top it was large and open. It had multiple rooms with long, narrow hall ways.
Once we reached the third floor, he showed me to my room. And once again my jaw dropped. I had a huge bed with millions of pillows and light pink, floral sheets. The floor was perfectly glossed almost like someone has never set foot in here. The walls were also light pink to match my bed. I had a floral couch designed to match my sheets and a flat screen tv. I had a huge walk in closet with millions of clothes in all different sizes. I'm guessing she didn't no what size I was. Next to my closet I had a beautiful bathroom with a huge tub. But the best part of all I had a big window with a little cushioned bench. I could see most of London from here. I could see a small part if the Big Ben and the bridge.
I wanted to cry and so I did. I felt a hand reach up and rest on my shoulder. I looked over to see an little old lady smiling.
"Oh grandma." I whispered as I went to hug her. "This is to much. Thank you, thank you so much." I sniffled as tears came tuning down my face wetting her perfectly curled hair and dress.
"I hope you like it sweetie. I'm here for you, okay?"
I raised my head from her shoulder and nodded. "It's beautiful." I breathed out. She smiled showing me her winkles. She wiped my tears from my cheeks.
"You look just like your mother." My heart sank. I wanted to cry even more. I miss them so much. My father passed away with cancer when I was younger, that's how Jeff got into the picture. But I completely lost it when I lost my mother too. She was all I had left, or at least I thought. I'm just glad my grandmother and I have each other now.
No one has ever made me feel more loved in a long time. And I never have been happier. Maybe things will be ok.
"Now let's go make you something to eat." She spoke softly.
