Hope's POV

Niall waited until I got into the house and then drove away. I felt bad that I didn't keep my promise with my grandmother to not be out late. All the lights were on, so she probably stayed up for me.

But it felt weird when I made it in. The atmosphere was different. It was darker and I became scared. For all I know is that only my grandmother and I in this big house alone. When I walked into the living I saw legs sticking out from behind the chair. I ran over and tears began to form in my eyes.

"Grandma!"

I fall to my knee and gently grabbed hold of her. Her weak body laying on the floor remind me of my mother before she died.

"Please- please speak to me." I put my ear to her chest and I was a bit relieved to hear her heart was still beeping but slowly.

I didn't know what to do and I couldn't breathe. Why does this keep happening to me. Everybody that a counters with me, dies or gets hurts.

I shakily grabbed my phone and called the police. I could barely speak. The lady keep telling me to slow down but I couldn't. I was horrified. I was afraid that he did this. I was scared that he was back. I was frightened that I could be next.

I eventually got off the phone and they assured me that they be here as quickly as they can. I stayed by her until they got here.

Then my phone began to rang. I thought it was Niall at first, maybe seeing if I got in safely but it wasn't. I hesitated to answer it.

I didn't speak when I answered. When the other caller noticed that I didn't, he spoke up. "She's gone, isn't she. Now you have no one but me."

He paused, "Nothing but me, once again."

I immediately hung up and sirens rang in my ears. I tried not to think to much about who keeps calling me. I quickly got up and ran to the door. I opened it and a cop ran up to me.

"Please, please." I begged. "She's all I have, save her."

An officer collected me and held me back as another ran inside. He held onto me and I cried into his chest. When they came out, she was laying on a stretcher.

"No!" I cried. I ran up to her and grabbed her hand. She was hooked up to oxygen and her eyes were closed. I stayed with her until the rolled her to the ambulance.

"Please. Let me go with her." They all looked at one another and then nodded, allowing me to be with her until we got to the hospital.

I was shaking and the paramedics were doing all they could. I understood that. When we made it to the hospital, they told me to wait in the waiting room and that they were doing all they can.

I looked at her with teary eyes and slowly nodded. I looked at the floor and walked away from her. I sat a seat and rested my elbows on my knees. I began to rapidly shake my leg.

I pulled out my phone and called the only person I knew I could trust. I need someone here with me. Someone to hold me and tell me everything will be okay. I need someone to keep me safe because I was scared to death.

The phone rang for awhile and I began to worry that he wasn't going to pick me. "Please, please pick up. I need you." I whispered repeatedly.

"Hello?" A smile of relief blew over me.

"Niall." My eyes began to water once again. "Niall, I need you."

"What's wrong Hope?" he said sounding concerned.
