CHAPTER 4
“Fine, we’ll have dinner. I’m kinda hungry too,” Fateflight agreed.
“I never thought I’d say this, but can we have lizards?” Tsunanny asked.
“You want lizards?” Glorclay exclaimed, “wow. I didn’t think I’d ever hear you say that.”
“Well,” Starnami grumbled, “I feel similar. I want, salmon. Salmon! I hate salmon! But I love it at the same time!”
“I, I want cows. If that makes you feel better,” Glorclay cringed, “normally they’re too big and fattening for me, but I really want one right now.”
“I feel hungry, but I want nothing! How? I’ve never felt this way! Arg!” Clayspeaker complained.
“We should just go hunting, and hopefully find something we all like to eat,” Fateflight suggested.
“Let’s do this!” Glorclay yelled. They took to the sky, first Clayspeaker, than Glorclay, Starnami, Tsunanny, and Fateflight (with help).
“I say we search the rainforest,” Glorclay offered.
“No, the swamp! Or, whatever you guys want,” Clayspeaker’s head drooped.
“I’m sorry you’re not hungry for anything Clayspeaker,” Starnami sympathized.
“That’s ok, I just feel, abnormal,” Clayspeaker responded.
“Oh, you don’t even know,” Glorclay objected, “I feel like I could eat ten cows, not just one, ten. Now I know how you feel when you are always hungry.”
“Ok, just stop. We need to eat. Let’s hunt,” Tsunanny determined. Glorclay spotted a cow, so they all chased it happily. It ran over a hill, around a bog, under a log, and finally, it’s horns got stuck in a tree. It took the five dragons this long to catch it, because they weren’t used to their wing size and shape. They sat on the log and ate,Tsunanny ate the tail, spitting pieces out as she went, Starnami ate the neck, Clayspeaker ate a leg, Fateflight ate another leg, and Glorclay ate last, gnawing at the body. Then she had the leftovers.
“That,” Tsunanny chewed, “was the smallest meal I have ever eaten.”
“That was my largest,” Glorclay exclaimed.
“Well, I have never felt fuller,” Clayspeaker said.
“You mean you have never felt full,” Tsunanny laughed, then stopped, “Three moons this voice is getting annoying!”
“I know right? I sound like I have a frog stuck in my throat,” Glorclay stated. The two girls (one "half" girl) went on, trying to get their new voice to sound like their normal one. Starnami broke the conversation.
“So, how are we going to get out of this predicament?” he asked.
“Um, by getting my sister?” Tsunanny suggested.
“But won’t using her magic take part of her soul away?” Clayspeaker asked.
“Oh yeah, right. I was too busy worrying about changing back to think of that,” Tsunanny admitted.
“Well, we could go to Mastermind,” Fateflight tried.
“My dad? Seriously?” Starnami questioned.
“He does know a lot,” Clayspeaker agreed.
Starnami gave up, “fine. We’ll go.” So they took off once more, hopefully to return back to normal.
