CHAPTER 3
A RainWing was flying to where Queen Glory said she would be. A ledge on the side of Mt. Talonscale. As she arrived, she spotted all of the Dragons of Destiny (as they weren’t really dragonets anymore). She flew faster, desperate to reach her friends. As she landed on the ledge, she spotted one more NightWing, Fatespeaker, she thought.
“Hi! I just came to tell Queen Glory something!” the small RainWing told them, “then I’ll be out of your scales!”
“Do good Sunory,” Glorclay whispered into Sunory’s ear.
“Um, yes Kinkajou?” Sunory gulped.
“All of the food we pick, the NightWings eat! Even though were picking enough to share with them! They take double of what we offer!” Kinkajou’s smile faded, now she looked worried, “Jambu says he’s concerned about food loss!”
“There won’t be any food loss in my Rainforest!” Glorclay shouted from behind Sunory.
“What’s that Clay? Did you say your Rainforest? I thought it belonged to Glory!” mumbled the confused Kinkajou.
“Yeah, that’s what I meant. Glory’s Rainforest. But I still don’t want food loss! Those mangos are so yummy!” Glorclay corrected herself while rubbing her tummy. She had tried to sound like Clay. She hoped it worked, she had never really liked mangos.
“Haha! Clay, you are so funny! Anyway, I was asked to bring Glory back with me,” Kinkajou’s smile was back.
“Uh, I’m busy right now, how ‘bout tomorrow?” Sunory tried, but it didn’t work.
“But we need you now your majesty! Otherwise, we might starve!” Kinkajou gestured for Sunory to follow, then she took off.
Sunory hesitated, then quickly mumbled, “I’ll try to be like Glory! I promise.” And she launched herself off the ledge.
“Hope she will be okay,” wished Starnami.
“I agree,” nodded Fateflight.
“You always agree with Starflight!” noted Glorclay.
“Yeah, that’s because he’s smart and everything he says is correct,” Fateflight explained as she leaned against Starnami. They sat together, staring at the sunset. Glorclay, Tsunanny, and Clayspeaker stood behind them.
“Ew, that looks wrong. I would never-” Tsunanny stopped mid-sentence because Glorclay kicked her in the shin.
“Let them have a moment!” Glorclay whispered in Tsunanny’s ear, which she had to bend down to reach.
“But, what if they kiss!” Tsunanny protested, also whispering.
“So?” Glorclay asked, then she realized, “oh, Starflight’s in your body, isn’t he?”
Tsunanny nodded.
“So you don’t want to see yourself kiss Starflight?” Glorclay guessed.
Tsunanny nodded again.
“I can agree with you there.”
“It’s weird talking to what looks and sounds like Clay about this,” Tsunanny stated, too loudly.
“Talking about what?” Starnami asked as he turned around.
“Nothing,” both Glorclay and Tsunanny said in unison.
“Ok, so, when is dinner?” Clayspeaker asked.
Everyone else, groaned.
