                                                             CHAPTER 7

As they arrived at the mountain, Sunory exclaimed, “hey! there it is!” She pointed to a hole right at the top of the mountain peak. They turned towards it. The air was cold and musty, birds never came this high. The smell was only of clouds, which smelled a little like soapy water. The dragons landed at the cave entrance.

“Hello?” Tsunanny tried.

No answer.

“Anyone here?” Fateflight asked.

“Yes, yes, I’m coming,” a old dragons voice came from the hole. Then he appeared, a SkyWing. Old, probably over 200. Many scars cut through his body. A SkyWing? Why not a NightWing? I thought they wrote most of the scrolls, was the thought that ran through most of the dragon’s heads.

“Well? Why are you here?” the dragon seemed as if they had just woken him up in the morning, grumpy, tired, and not wanting to be talking to them.

“We are here for an important reason,” Glorclay stated.

“Yes?” he seemed annoyed, “get on with it!”

“We found the Sapphire!” Sunory burtted.

“The sapphire? What sapphire? Who are you? Why are you here!? What i-”

“The Switching Sapphire sir,” Fateflight interrupted, interrupting is her thing.

The Switching Sapphire? Really?” the SkyWing blinked, then said, “come in, come in.” He led them down a series of staircases, lefts, rights, ups, downs. Finally, they reached a room. It had torches that lined the walls, as well as some rugs on the floor, but that was about it. There was three other tunnels leading from that room, but the SkyWing stopped there. He gestured to the floor, then laid down. The others followed his silent command.

“So, the sapphire eh? Where? How? Who is who?” the SkyWing asked, but before any of them could answer, he remembered something, “oh, my name is Nightsky, half SkyWing, half NightWing.” Now that he mentioned this, the dragons noticed some NightWing features on him. Stars on his underwings, scale pattern, horns, and more.

“So, I’m Sunny, that’s my body,” Sunory pointed to Tsunanny.

“I am Starflight, that’s my body, I guess,” Starnami pointed to Fateflight.

“I’m Glory, my bodies the one that Sunny’s in,” She gestured to Sunory.

“I’m Clay, that’s my body,” he pointed to Glorclay, “I’m in Fatespeaker’s body.”

“Me, I’m Fatespeaker,” Fateflight told Nightsky, “I’m in Starflight’s body.”

“And I’m Tsunami, I’m in Sunny’s body,” Tsunanny appeared sad.

“So,” Nightsky questioned, “how do you each feel about this situation?”

“Awful.”

“Manly!”

“Terrible!”

“Like an idiot,” (Tsunanny of course.)

“Blind.”

“Unsmart!”

“Ok, it’s not fun,” Nightsky wrote something down on a scroll that no one saw him holding till now, “where did you find the sapphire?”

“In a cave on Mt. Talonscale,” Starnami told him.

“Mt.-Tal-on-scale,” Nightsky said each syllable as he wrote it down, “There! Ok, next. What exactly happened?”

“Clay touched the gem after we broke the cage and-” Tsunanny started.

“You broke the cage?! How?” Nightsky was impressed.

“We used fire, then, when it was hot, I used my fireproof scales to walk in and break the cage while it was still getting blasted at,” Clayspeaker said.

“Oh, go on, um, Tsunami?”

“Yeah, princess Tsunami.”

“Ok.”

“Anyway, where was I? Oh, yeah. The gem flashed really, really bright and we all blacked out. When we woke, the gem was gone and we were like this,” Tsunanny gestured to herself.

“Ah, so, do any of you want to change back?” Nightsky asked as he finished writing down the new information.

“Yes!” all the dragons (except Sunory and Nightsky) exclaimed at once.

“And you?” Nightsky asked Sunory

“No, I like this body! I can be pink whenever I want! Plus I’m Queen.”

“Well, five against one,” Nightsky said, “now, I have a cure, the anti-Animus ring. It only works when it’s participants are willing to change, so, everyone but Tsunami and Sunny will change back, since, Tsunami is in the unwilling participant’s body. And yes, there will be two Glorys.”
