Twanette woke to the overly cheery sounds of birds greeting the new day. She groaned and buried her face in her pillow.

“Good mornin’ beautiful, time to rise,” said a happy sounding Dimitri as he kissed the back of her neck.

“No, more sleep,” muttered Twixy as she tried to hide from his awakeness. Dimitri wrapped his arms around her and pulled her to him.

“If you keep layin’ in bed like that, I’m not gonna let you leave,” he whispered hotly.  She looked up at him with her aquamarine eyes and blushed. He kissed each of her cheeks and then finally her lips. “I love when you blush,” he said against her skin. Twanette rolled her eyes and sat up in his arms, she yawned and stretched and Dimitri watched her.

“So, where are we going first?”

He frowned as he thought about it. “Well, we could make our way to Wolf’s End, that’s the farthest place I can think of from the mountains.”

“True, I imagine he wouldn’t want to stick around the scene of the crime,” Twixy got off the bed, much to Dimitri’s amusement. She turned her head and glared at him, quit being creepy.”

“Sorry, jus’ enjoyin’ the view.”

Twixy sigh in exasperation and started to get dressed. “Help me with my corset.”

“Nah, I think I’m jus’ fine sittin’ here.”

“You had no problem undoing it last night.”

Dimitri chuckled and stood up. “Fine,” he pulled the laces tightly and she grunted. “I’ll never understand why females insist on wearin’ those silly things.”

“Have you ever worn a dress?”

“No, can’t say I have; though it is definitely on my bucket list.”

“I’m just going to pretend you didn’t say that,” she shook her head in dismay. “I’m dating a lunatic.”

“Oh, so we’re datin’ now, hmm, I like that, specially if it comes with benefits.”

Twixy rolled her eyes and turned to face him. “Get dressed before I leave your lazy ass here.”

“Now here I thought ya likes me nekkid, dammit.”

“I’m about to slap your birthday suit.”

“Nah, I’m too beautiful to slap!” He pranced around the room and Twixy smacked her forehead and sighed.

“Just get dressed, we need to get on the road,” Twixy adopted her serious voice and Dimitri slumped as he pulled on the same clothes from the day before.

“Mind if we stop at my place so I can get some clothing?”

“No, go naked.”

“Hey, nobody would complain,” he winked suggestively.

“I would,” she grumbled; looking jealous.

“Oh, my sweet lil’ dove; don’t be jealous,” he walked up to her and wrapped his arms

around her.

“Don’t call me little!” She growled as she wrenched herself away from him. “Let’s just go,” Twanette marched out of the room, slamming the door in front of Dimitri; he sighed as he opened it.

Twixy walked out to the royal stables where she had stabled her stallion, King Starmaster after riding back from her home in the Stormshard mountains. She ordered a stable boy to tack him up as she waited outside, ignoring Dimitri as he walked up to her.
