Just Wanted A Fairytale

Chapter 2: Hey you!

The next morning she got up and went by the bookstore with Noah in tow and got her books then took Noah by the daycare since the college told her that it was open 6 days a week it was only closed on Sunday. She dropped him off and then headed to the football field as she was offered the trainer assistant job for the football team. 

She met Linda Thomas and she said "Great you are here. So let's go over everything." as she let her in her office. She sat down and she showed her everything she needed to know and Hensley was happy it wasn't going to be much different then how it was when she was in high school as the trainer for the football team. 

They went out and Linda said "Guys this is my assistant Hensley Carter if you can't find me when you need something like taped up or what have you find her. Her number is listed on the consent form." 

She leaned in her ear and said "Ms Thomas I can't have late night phones calls when I have a baby." 

"Right boys there will be no late night calls to her or drunken phone calls." she said 

They all signed the forms and put their numbers in their phone. Then she met the football coach then he had the boys go out for practice. Then something caught her eye and Bucky said "Hey you..looks like I get to spend some time with you." 

"Hey I thought that was you." she said 

"Where's the baby?' he said

"The daycare." she said as she had the water bottles.

"So not a cheerleader.." he said

"Nope never have been." she said 

He smiled and said "Well I um I'm glad I get to see you today." 

She smiled as he walked on to the field and Sam said "Let me guess that's the girl you were helping last night." 

"Yup." he said with a smile as he watched her talk to Ms Thomas. 

After practice was over and she helped LInda put all the water bottles up she went to the daycare picked up Noah and headed back to the dorm. She was carrying in Noah when Sam seen her as him and the boys were walking into the building.

"Single mom.." Sam said

"Yeah..she was trying to figure out how to move in her stuff with the baby in tow when I seen her last night." Bucky said 

Sam shook his head and said "Some guys are fucking dicks and I'm a guy and if I"m saying that then that's saying something." 

Bucky went up to his dorm got showered and changed then knocked on her door. She opened the door and he said "um do you want to grab dinner with me?'

"I um I.." she said as she bit her lip.

"I don't care that he has to come with you." he said 

"Okay.." she said as she turned around and slipped on her converse shoes and a grabbed the diaper bag and put Noah in his car seat. Bucky got him and carried him down to his truck and put him in the back seat and made sure the car seat was secured in the seat belt. 

He got in the truck and started it up "So um do you know what you are going to do for games?' he said 

"I don't know I haven't figured it out yet." she said 

"Um well my mom lives in Macon which isn't far from here and I'm sure she wouldn't mind to help if I talked to her. I mean I don't know where you folks are?' he said

"They are in South Carolina." she said 

They went to dinner at a pizza place and they got back to the dorm. He sat down beside her and she said "um close your eyes." 

"Okay." he said

She fixed herself so she could feed Noah and not expose herself so she covered Noah then she said "Okay you can open them." 

"Oh.. I was wondering what you were doing?' he said 

"Yeah..I didn't want to freak you out by wiping my boob out." she said

"I wouldn't have been freaked out. I have a sister who got pregnant at 16 and she breast fed my niece. I would have figured it out." he said 

She smiled and he said "Can I ask where daddy went?'

She looked down and said "Two months before he was born he ended our 3 year relationship saying that he no longer wanted to be together and that he wanted nothing to do with him and so I just focused on me and him." 

"He never said why he no longer wanted to be together." he said

"Oh I figured it out eventually. He was cheating on me with one of my cousins." she said 

"What a D I C K." he said as he spelled out the word even though Noah is a baby.

She started laughing and he said "He's missing out though but it's his loss." 

"Yeah I mean I know Noah was unexpected and at first he was excited cause we had talked about having babies after high school and getting married. It was everything I wanted the fairytale but then it all came crashing down." she said as a tear fell.

Bucky scooted closer and wiped her tear. "You do know that sometimes the fairytale isn't what you think it is." he said 

"Yeah. I know that's what my mom said." she said as she felt Noah unlatch.

She used the blanket to fix her bra and shirt then she started to burp Noah. Once she was done with that he said "Let me hold this little guy." as he took him and he said "Hey little guy mama really likes hats doesn't she." as he saw that he had another beanie on.

She smiled and said "I can't help that all his outfits come with beanies." 

Bucky got him to sleep for her so she could take a shower. When she came back out she sat down beside him on the couch and he said "So are you going to take up my offer." 

"I guess so cause besides you so far I don't know anyone else here." she said

"Good I'll talk to my mom tomorrow when I go see her." he said

"You sure your parents won't mind" she said

"Well it's just my mom and she won't mind. She loves babies." he said 

"Oh.." she said

"Yeah my dad passed away when I was like 2 cause he was in the military and my older sister was 4 so it's just been us and my mom." he said 

She smiled and he said "Um do you want to watch a movie?' 

"Sure." she said and he took her hair tie off her wrist and started to braid her hair. 

"Thank you." she said 

"Welcome." he said 

They started up Netflix on her roku box she had and picked a movie to watch.
