Just Wanted A Fairytale

Chapter 6: Baby Girl Barnes

When Hensley was 5 months along they found out that their baby was going to be a girl. Bucky was so excited cause he knew that she was going to be beautiful. They started to fix up the nursery in one of the bedrooms of their house in purple and grey colors. They decided on a name for her so Hensley could get things monogrammed. They chose the name Emma Katelyn Barnes. 

Hensley's parents moved to GA a month before she was due so they could be closer and involved in their grandkids life. Bucky was also working for his uncle at his mechanic shop on top of school so he could help his mom with the bills for their house. 

On July 10th Hensley went into labor when she home alone cause Bucky was at work and her parents had Noah. She was cleaning the kitchen when started to feel contractions then she grabbed the counter and moaned in pain. Then another one came after that she grabbed her cellphone.

"Win-nie." she said through pain

"Yeah honey what's wrong?' Winnie said

"I um I need you to come get me and take me to the hospital I'm in labor." she said 

"Okay honey just breathe I'll be there in a few." Winnie said

She hung up and she called Bucky at work he was under a car when he felt his phone buzzing in his pocket. He slid it out of his overalls and said "Hey baby." 

"Bbbucky." she said through pain 

"Baby what's wrong?' as he rolled out from under the car. 

"I called your mom but I need you to meet me at the hospital I'm in labor." she said 

"Okay baby I'll meet you there." he said as he got up and threw the wrench in the tool box and took his overalls off. "Charlie my girl is in labor I've got to go." he said 

"okay let us know when she gets here." Charlie his uncle said 

Bucky rushed to the hospital and met his mom in the parking garage so he knew where to go. He walked into the room and she was doing her breathing exercises and he said "Hey baby." 

"Hey." she said through a shaky voice.

"Where's Noah?' he said

"He's with my parents I called them too." she said

"Okay.. baby you are going to have to help me with this part cause you have done this I haven't so please tell me that you are okay." he said as sat on the bed and cupped her cheek.

She smiled and said "I um I'm having contractions and my water broke in our driveway as I was about to get in your mom's car. I"m at a 7 and half which means I have to dilate 3 more cms before I can push." 

He smiled and said "This is it.. She's coming." 

"Yes baby she's coming." she said with a laugh as she wiped tears. 

"Isn't there something they can give you for the pain." he said

"Yeah but I didn't do it with Noah I'm not going to do with her. I can do this." she said 

He kissed her and he said "What do you need me to do baby." 

"Just hold my hand and um maybe find a cold wash cloth cause I'm sweating.'she said 

He started laughing and said "Okay." 

A nurse helped him find a washcloth and got cold water. He started to wipe her face as her parents came in and she heard "Mama dada." 

"Hey baby." Hensley said 

"You doing okay Buck." John said 

"Yeah I"m okay right now." he said 

"Hey I'm the one in labor here." Hensley said

John started laughing and said "You have done this once before I'm making sure your husband doesn't pass out on you." 

Bucky smiled and said "Thanks." 

About an hour and half later the doctor came in and said "Alright Mrs Barnes it's time to push." 

"Okay." she said as she let out a breathe and her mom on one side and Bucky on the other side they got in her into position and she started to push after 4 pushes their daughter came out screaming and Bucky cut the cord and they laid Emma on Hensley's chest. 

"Hey beautiful." Hensley whispered as she got her to latch. 

She looked up at Bucky and she smiled. "You did good baby." she said as she kissed him. 

"Thanks I felt a little sick but I'm okay.' he said as he kissed her.

She felt Emma lay her hand on her breast as she sucked. The nurse came in took Emma got her bathed and measured while Hensley got moved to her hospital room. When they finished up with Emma the nurse pushed her crib into her room and said "6lbs 5oz of pure beauty guys." 

Hensley smiled as Bucky walked over and picked her up to hold her. "Hey beautiful little darlin." He whispered as he sat down with her. 

Their parents came in the next morning since visiting hours were over. Noah walked over to Bucky and climbed up into his lap as he was holding Emma.

"Hey little man this is your little sister Emma." he said as he helped him hold her since he still small himself. 

Both Hensley's parents and Winnie got a picture of the moment. "Your daddy would be so proud of who you have grown up to be James." Winnie said

He looked up at her and smiled. "Thanks mom I am who I am because of you." he said 

"I know." Winnie said

Rebecca came in with her little ones and said "My god my little brother and you sure did give me a beautiful niece Hensley." 

"Thank you." Hensley said 

They got to go home a few days later Bucky took some time off to help her get adjusted to being a mama of 2 instead of just one.
