CHAPTER 5

Once Ashton established the fact that I was his new found friend, we all went out for some pizza.

It went...well i guess?

I mean Alexa's jaw was practically on the floor the entire time and the twins were making random jokes that cracked Jason up.

So yeah, I guessed it went well.

Alexa seemed more than happy going out for pizza, I mean she was smiling up at Jason at every given time.

"Everything all right in there?"asked Ashton. "You just went all M.I.A on me right now. Thinking about how hot I am?"

"Har, har Ashton very funny," I said rolling my eyes.

"If you keep doing that , your eyes may roll off Maggie, and we wouldn't want that now would we?" Ashton said.

I kept thinking about our new friendship. How would it work? We both have different social groups. He's popular. Me... not really. Ever since Olivia, people - mostly girls - avoid me like the plague because they don't wanna be bullied either. Ashton says bad words. He's a bad boy. Wait, no. Let me rephrase that, he's the bad boy. I'm nothing like that. Sooner or later, he'll get bored of my company and I will be forced to tell him 'I told you so'. And on top of that, i'm not so smart like him. It's so unfair. He can't be both, handsome and smart. It's like pick one you know?

Okay i'm blabbering right now. Ignore what I just said.

"How long do you think this friendship will last Ashton?" I asked in all seriousness.

I felt Ashton tense up next to me.

"I mean, I don't fit in with your other friends and then there's Olivia to worry about, who started bullying me since December. What the fudge nuggets did I ever do to her to deserve that? I never even talked to her before. I'm failing geometry and i don't-"

"Hey, it will be alright darling," Ashton said, cutting off my rambling," if you want, only Jason , you,me, the twins, and Alexa could hang out. No friends of mine you don't know. And as for Olivia, I'll find a way to handle it. She touches you again and she have at it with me."

His voice went a little protective in the Olivia part and made me feel... I don't know, but it made me feel something.

I guess having someone besides the twins and Alexa to look out for me could have caused the feeling.

Relax Maggie, I told myself, it was just that. I mean, you can't be developing a crush on him just yet. You barely even know the guy.

I guess I was so into my own thoughts that when Cody put the plate of pizza in front of me - my favorite one of course. Cheese inside the crust with pepperoni, ham and bacon on top, mmhm soo good  -  that I jumped in my seat.

Sighing, I took the plate and took a small bite off my pizza, chewing slowly. As i started to look out the window, I heard Cody say," Here we see a loner on its natural habitat," he said, writing it down on an imaginary notepad with an imaginary pen. " As you can see, she is eating pizza and looking out the window, separating herself from the others." He began to continue saying aloud notes as i ate. "...She  is turning her head to look at me, oh now she's glaring at me- oh wait, she's putting her pizza down on the plate. She's grabbing  her bag, quite bigger than the average bag. Oh look, she's lifting it up in the air, and-"

He was cut off when I hit the bag on top of his head. Cody's head hit the table with a small thud, quieter than the thud when my bag hit his head.

"Ow"

Jack burst out laughing, Alexa looked surprised, Jason was... Oh God, that idiot was dying of laughter and Ashton just looked amused.

"What do you carry in there? Bricks? Jesus woman that hurt," Cody said.
