Joe and Dianne

Happy New Year

Dianne's POV

After being in Australia over Christmas, I had missed all my friends in England a lot and of course my boyfriend Joe. I couldn't wait to get back. I stepped onto the plane for my flight returning to London.

Joe's POV

I could not wait for Dianne to get back. I had missed her like crazy and it was affecting my mood negatively not being around her!

Tonight was the New Years party which I was presenting with Stacey. Thankfully I would see Dianne just before that began.

I pulled up outside the airport in the car park and made my way to gate 31 where she would come out of.

After half an hour of waiting, I finally caught a glimpse of her vibrant red hair.

"DIANNE!!"

"OMG JOE!! I missed you so much!"

She rushed into my open arms and held me in a tight hug for several minutes.

"I'm so glad you are back." I said.

I held my arm firmly around her waist as we walked to get her luggage. We drove back to her flat so she could get ready for tonight's party and then we headed of to the heart of London.

"I'm so proud of you for doing this! It's amazing." Dianne looked at me with great admiration. I grinned back.

"Hey, before the party starts, do you want to go swimming? Like, there's a pool right at the top of this building and it's got a stunning view, it would be magical!"

"Joe! It's raining outside, and the pool doesn't even have a roof!! But something is telling me I should so, why not?"

She gave me a massive smile and we got the lift all the way up to the 60th floor.

There was a wide infinity pool and we immediately jumped in.

"This is incredible. I love you." Dianne looked at me for what seemed like forever.

"I love you too..." I replied.

She swam closer to me and kissed me passionately and I did so back. We did for several minutes. She was the person of my dreams, and I didn't ever want to be apart from her again.

-a few hours later, at 23:59-

Me and Dianne huddled out onto the balcony with a view of the fireworks display and held onto each other tight.

"3.....2.....1.......HAPPY NEW YEARR!!!" The speakers boomed.

On the first strike of the clock, I kissed Dianne making it the first thing I did of 2019. I am looking forward to all the memory's I will spend with her this year.
