To say I was screwed was an understatement. I realized this on my way back to my tiny apartment, when I spotted something off about the Hokage monument. Crude drawings littered the carved stone faces of the village leaders. Naruto. Picking up my speed, I lept from rooftop to rooftop, swinging by to change my clothes before racing towards the academy.

As I approached the door of my classroom, I heard a loud voice which belonged to none other than Iruka sensei.

3rd person
"NARUTO! This is your last warning! The graduation exam is tomorrow and you have yet to pass, and this will be the third time you have failed! I'm at the end of my rope!"

"Big deal! I'm still gonna be Hokage dattebayo! Your just jealous since you didn't have the guts to do what I did! Besides, when Shizu-" his voice suddenly catches in his throat.

"When I what, Naruto? Please, do continue what you were saying." Shizuka had just walked in, sending a look at naruto, which was a mix of a glare and a smirk. Iruka cleared his throat.

"Well, since the Uzumaki twins are late, everyone line up! We are reviewing the clone Jutsu!" A chorus of groans sounded from throughout the room. Mainly those claiming that they had to "pay for their screwups" and how the whole thing was "troublesome".

First in line was Haruno Sakura, a pinkette who was infatuated with Sasuke, a brooding ravenett with hair that oddly resembled the tail feathers of an upturned duck. She was one of his many fan girls.

"Haruno Sakura here! Let's do it, Transform!" Said pinkette produced a puff of smoke, which revealed a slightly flawed copy of Iruka.

"Well done Sakura, next is Sasuke Uchiha!" Iruka announced. The boy stepped forward, transformed into Iruka, then turned back.
"Erm, good... Next is Uzumaki Shizuka, I'll be back in a minute!". Iruka exited the room.
As she walked towards the front of the line, she overheard whispers from her peers.

"Look at her! What ninja wears arm and leg warmers?"

"She's the reason we have to do this!"

"She and her brother are freaks! My sister told me not to go near her!"

"What kind of ninja has red hair?! What an ugly tomato!"

The last comment caused her to go rigid. Naruto, who also overheard, went ghostly pale.

'Oh no, Shizu loves her hair! Sakura-Chan... I hope you will be ok, this won't be good.'

"...Sakura, would you please repeat what you just said, just so I can make sure I didn't mishear?". Shizuka was deadly calm. Sakura, trying to suppress her fear, repeated.

"I called you a hidious tomato, freak! It's no wonder nobody likes you, ugly!"

Shizuka looked directly at Sakura, her deep blue eyes barely showing through the fringe of her hair.

"Listen here missy, and listen well: you are a hypocrite to insult my hair! How is a pink haired ninja supposed to be stealthy?! At least my head is dark enough to blend in! Oh, and my hair is crimson!" Shizuka's locks of crimson hair began to move around her, as if they possessed a mind of their own. The rest of the class looked on in horror, and this fear was increased tenfold when Sakura made a terrible mistake.

At the top of her lungs, she screamed.

"You monster! No wonder you don't have any parents, DEMON!"
