Chapter One- The Broken Girl's Past

"Amela's POV

Epilogue

" How do you do it?" I asked.

" Do what?" he asked.

" That."

" That?"

" Yes that, how do you make girls fall at your feet? How?" I asked.

" I don't try, it just happens. How do you do it?" He repeated my earlier question.

" I didn't know I did." I replied, blushing.

Hi, my name is Amulet Mara Grace. Call me Red. I'm 16 years old and I've spent 4 years away from Missy and they've been... interesting. I miss her horribly.

She was my mom, my best friend, my... life. She was so nice to me, kind to me, a mother to me. Not like the one I had. She died. Drunk driving. I wasn't very sad.

She abandoned me, in the woods, when I was 5 for crying out loud! I was scared and she left me there, to die.

I remember it well, I wrote the story I my dairy, it goes;

'I was 5. Thalia, my twin, older sister, my other half, had run away. My mom and I were going to have a picnic in the woods.

The woods were the darkest, scariest things ever, in the dark. In the light, it was eerie and creepy.

" Come on Amulet," my mother snapped at me. She never called me a nickname, or my middle name, just, Amela.

" I-I'm coming Mom." I stuttered.

" You better be." She snapped again.

We got to a little circular clearing and we stopped.

" Is this it?" I asked timidly.

" Of course you idiot." I winced at the name, though she called me it frequently. I shrunk away from her.

" I'm sorry Amulet, I shouldn't have said that." though she didn't sound sorry.

" It's okay Mom." I told her.

She nodded.

" Oh, I forgot the tablecloth. I have to back and get it." I was scared out of my wits. She wanted me to stay there, while she went back to the warm, comforting, car. Right, not gonna happen.

" Can I come with, it's s-scary out here." I stuttered, scared.

" No, you will stay here and wait for me." She snapped.

I nodded and gulped.

" O- Okay Mom." I quickly agreed.

So she went back to the car but little did I know, two bizarre things would happen. One, my mother, would never come back. And two, a goddess, a maiden, would rescue me.

A goddess that vowed never to date, marry, or have kids, raised me. Of course, she had help from her minions who played with me when she was busy.

So I was scared out of my wits being alone in the forest, just waiting for my mom, who would never to come back, to come back.

" Girl. What is your name?" A voice that sounded like bells came from the forest.

I shrieked. A beautiful girl about 13 came out of the woods. She was beautiful, no, stunningly beautiful. She was tanned and her hair was black, like mine, and she had it in a waterfall braid.
