Touching the untouchable

Chapter 3

Itachi walked along the path leading towards the beach, enjoying the gentle washes of colour from the setting sun. He hadn't felt this at peace in a long time.

Naruto made his way around, enjoying the last day of his trip before he has to head back to Japan tomorrow. The money he saved from working multiple jobs got him enough to last for a whole month. He had also applied for a working visa so that he could work to earn some pocket money in Venice to eat and all. Naruto sighed, at least he had made some friends while working here, in Japan he worked alone. His jobs in Japan were odd hours or really long and demanding, cleaning the malls by himself, delivering things across prefectures, delivering goods on his motorbike in a time limit. He had almost gotten himself killed delivering things when a car had ran the red light and clipped his back tyre, causing him to get flung onto the another car. He had cracked the car's windscreen and rolled over the top of the car, landed on the ground harshly. The doctor told him that he broke and fractured multiple bones, his ribs puncturing his lungs etc. and lost a lot of blood. They almost didn't have enough blood for him and when he had fallen into a coma, they were uncertain that he would wake up again.
Hopefully I get a new job soon. Naruto mused as he paused to take photos. He paused when he saw the tall dark male once again across the road. He smiled to himself and moved on, there was no way their paths would cross again.

Itachi sighed as he sat on the ledge that was a good 2 stories high with his feet dangling in the air. The warmth of the air coaxing him to sleep, he felt his eyes shut. Itachi shook himself awake but couldn't stay in that state for long as he nodded off again. He hadn't slept much in the past few days and it seems to be taking a toll on him.
Naruto frowned as he saw that man again, he looked like he was falling asleep. Naruto darted forwards to catch the man when he begun tipping forwards. Naruto sat himself beside the man and allowed the beautiful stranger to lean on him, 'he didn't even wake up from that sensation of falling and someone grabbing him... what if I was someone that was going to rob him? Smh.'

Itachi opened his eyes slowly, feeling more refreshed after his nap before he realised that he was resting on someone's shoulder. He jerked up, staring at the stranger before remembering that it was the blond man from before. "What- "
"Before you get the wrong idea!" Naruto cut in anxiously, Itachi raised an eyebrow at him making him gulp a little, "you fell asleep and almost fell off. I caught you but you didn't wake and you seem pretty tired so I decided to sit here and yeah." Naruto explained, gesturing towards the ground which seemed quite far away from them. Itachi nodded thoughtfully, it was nice of the blond to sit here while he probably snored. Naruto feeling awkward and embarrassed, continued talking. "I just. Didn't want to leave you alone you know. Wait no! That's not what I- ugh. It's just. The neighbourhood is full of thieves and you seem like a nice guy and all, well dressed. They probably already started targeting you to steal." Naruto muttered, trailing off when Itachi continued staring at him with this look in his eyes. Amusement.
"And how can I be certain that you aren't one?" Itachi joked, knowing full well the blond means no harm.
"Hey! If I wanted to rob you, I wouldn't sit here for 2 hours waiting for you to wake up from your nap." Itachi's eyes went a little wider. 'I slept for 2 hours?' Itachi had never slept on anyone before, neither has he been in such deep sleep that he didn't realise it's a stranger. 'Either I am awfully comfortable with him or I am really tired...' Itachi mused to himself before turning his attention back to the blond. Itachi gave Naruto a small smile, making him blush. 'He looks cute. Wait. What.' Itachi had a sudden realisation, the blond didn't know who he was. 'Thank kami.'

Naruto felt his heart flutter when Itachi smiled at him. 'He looks so handsome when he smiles.' Naruto shook himself out of his staring before opening his mouth to say something, but Itachi beat him to it. "How ever can I repay you?" Itachi muttered, his deep voice was so soothing to Naruto. Itachi watched the blond think for a bit before he lit up, making Itachi smile a little involuntarily.

"How about a beer? My treat." Naruto asked shyly, afraid Itachi might say no.
"Sure." Itachi agreed in a heartbeat, Naruto blinked as if to process what has been said before a grin spread across his face and he took off telling Itachi to wait.

10 minutes later, both Naruto and Itachi were leaning against the ledge, drinking the cold beer that Naruto bought. He didn't have much left but he was still willing to spend it on a stranger.
"Are you sure you are satisfied with just a beer with me?" Itachi asked suddenly making Naruto look at him.
"Eh. I have learnt to be satisfied with what little things I get..." Naruto said softly before he grinned again. "Are you busy?" Naruto asked curiously. Itachi raised an eyebrow at the odd question but he picked up his phone to check his schedule only to find that his phone is out of battery. Oh well, if he was busy he would remember. Itachi shook his head, watching as the blond grin even wider. "Lets go! I'll bring you somewhere!" Naruto said cheerfully.
"How do I know you are gonna bring me to some place to sell me off?" Itachi joked, making Naruto burst out laughing. I have never joked so much with a random stranger before... why is he bringing such things out of me without me having any control?
