Touching the untouchable

Chapter 5

Naruto sat in the cafe glancing out the door and windows constantly, hoping to see the man whom he was with last night. Naruto played with the things on the table, touching the sugar packets, the salt shaker, the pepper shaker, anything he could get his hands on. 'What if he doesn't come?' Naruto smacked himself, he already told the man that if he doesn't want to come, he don't have to. Naruto should have made mental preparations about being stood up. But the man also said he would be here if he didn't have anything pressing to do. Naruto sighed, 'I guess I'll have to wait to find out if he will be here.' Naruto looked at the clock on the wall, it was only 8.55 am, he got too excited and got there early.

Itachi subtly glared at the trees next to him, why was there a sudden decision to change the details of the contract? He glanced at his watch, 8.50am. The secretary of the other company reassured him that the man would be here soon with contract. 'I think I'll be able to make it to the cafe.' Itachi thought to himself, hopeful. He really wanted to see the blond one last time and he hoped to ask the blond to join his company, that is if the blond was willing to.

'Where is he?!' Itachi was getting annoyed, the person was a full hour late. When the secretary had said he would be arriving at 9.10, Itachi agreed saying it was not a problem but it was 10 am now and the person was still no where to be seen. The blond must have left the cafe already. Itachi sighed. When the man finally arrived, it was almost 11. Itachi wanted to wring the man's neck for wasting his time and making him miss an important breakfast with the blond.
"I'm sorry but there was a lot of traffic." Itachi looked out to see that the traffic was not heavy at all, making Itachi narrow his eyes at him.

Itachi quickly made his way down to the cafe before his flight, hoping to catch the blond. Nothing, the blond had left already. "Are you looking for your blond friend?" A voice asked in English, Itachi turned to see a waitress standing behind him, holding a piece of paper. The blond must have told her that Itachi could speak English, seeing as she probably didn't know how to speak Japanese. Itachi nodded and she handed him the piece of paper before turning to serve other customers. 'I'm sorry I couldn't wait for you to come. I really waited to but I had to leave to catch my flight. Thank you for not running away from me last night and spending some time with me. I haven't had anyone to speak to like that in a while. Hopefully our paths will cross again someday. I would really like to know you better, random tall mysterious stranger. Till we meet again. P.s. stop falling asleep in random places, take care, don't get robbed ahaha :3 -Naruto.'
Itachi smiled at Naruto's playful jab. At least the blond told him his name, now it made Itachi's job easier when he gets back to Japan to search for the blond.
"Aren't you meeting someone?" Konan asked when she saw Itachi walking back to the car.
"He left." Itachi said simply before sliding into the car.

Naruto was sad that the stranger didn't make it but he left the man a note anyways, hoping he would at least come check to see if Naruto left. The blond picked up his bag and left, hopping onto the train to get to the airport.
At the check in counters, Naruto scrolled through his phone, coming to a stop at an article when he saw an all too familiar face. The face of the mystery stranger whom he bought a beer and a coffee for. 'Young CEO of the Uchiha corporation, Uchiha Itachi, has expanded the company's business into Venice. The stock market for the corporation has increased by more than 50% since the expansion overseas begun 2 months ago in October.' Naruto froze, he had been joking and laughing with the CEO of the largest corporation in the world and he didn't even realise. Naruto smacked himself for his stupidity, he even dragged the man to some dodgy looking cafe to have coffee and asked a rich man to a simple cafe for breakfast! SIMPLE! The man demands for the best and there's Naruto, bringing him to- sighhh. There was no point talking about it anymore, what was done is done.

Naruto looked up to receive the shock of his life, standing right there in the first class queue was Itachi Uchiha, being swarmed by fan girls. More security had to be called to keep them away from him. Itachi looked around, his eyes catching the eyes of the blond. Naruto gave him a small smile and waved at him coyly, teasing him for the fan girls surrounding him. Naruto sent him a wink and blew him a kiss, bursting into laughter at the mock eye roll. Kisame and Konan looked at him strangely. They seem to have noticed the interaction between the two. "Is the great Uchiha Itachi flirting?!"
"What? No." Itachi was confused, how was he flirting?
"You are responding to that blonde." Itachi frowned, all he did was an eye roll! He ignored them when it was their turn to check in their luggages. Itachi stood there waiting for Naruto to finish, glaring at his friends for making kissy faces at him. They were barely friends, it was just the blond is such a lovey and loveable.

Naruto turned around, shocked to see Itachi waiting for him. "I believe you found out who I am." Itachi muttered, gesturing to the phone that still had an image of his face. Naruto nodded, not saying anything.
"Are you mad, Naruto-kun?" Itachi asked, making Naruto shiver involuntarily when he heard Itachi say his name.
"No. I just- I am upset that I bought you to such a dodgy place for coffee."
"Don't worry, I enjoyed my time with you. Thank you for the beer and the coffee, I haven't... had time to go out for coffee or anything. After all, it wasn't that dodgy, the atmosphere was beautiful. Besides, aren't you there to protect me from getting robbed?" Itachi asked, giving him a slight smirk. Naruto laughed, shaking his head.
"I have to go, I'll see you soon Naruto-Kun." Itachi said, nodding at Naruto who blushed again. Itachi didn't know why he was blushing but he'll find out someday.
