I don't know if I've ever mentioned this but, I was not supposed to ever cross paths with hunters. Especially Winchesters.
Ugh, curse my god awful luck!
"You're not going to kill me are you?" I asked timidly. "That decision is still on the table sweetheart," Dean growled at me. I saw, who I assumed to be Sam, look over at his older brother with an expression that said 'Really? We just talked about this.' Clearly, I would have a better chance of reasoning with him to let me go.
"Look I'm really sorry I took your car, but I really had to get away from some people chasing me and will you please just let me go? I won't do it again." I mumbled my fake, sugar-coated apology quickly. Sam opened his mouth to respond, but another man stepped out from the tree line and beat him to it. He had on a trench coat.
Castiel.
I knew it was him before I even looked at him. I could almost feel his grace.
"We can't let you go, we need you to come with us so that we can protect you from Lucifer." He said.
There was no way in hell... wait, did he say they wanted to protect me? From Lucifer? Ok well, that is definitely not what I expected. Also, why did these three think they could protect me from the devil himself? "Umm, no thanks guys but, I can protect myself," I stated, hoping they'd leave me but to no avail. "Really? You, some little girl, protect herself against freaking Satan? I don't think so." Dean shook his head in disbelief.
I stood up a little straighter feeling defensive, "Look, believe it or not, I can actually hold my own in a fight and I have ways to throw people like him," I gestured to the angel standing off to the side, "off my trail."
"It's true Dean. There is powerful warding protecting her. It's why she was so difficult to find." Castiel spoke up. "What I want to know is what kind of warding is it? I mean, it's thrown Lucifer off her scent for years." Sam said. I thought back to my knife in my backpack, thinking if I could just reach it, I could probably manage to escape with minor injuries... "Hey, kid we're talking to you," Dean spoke interrupting my train of thought.
"What?" I questioned having absolutely no idea what they were talking about while simultaneously hatching my daring escape plan. "I said, how did you stay hidden from Lucifer all these years?" Sam said, repeating the question. I may have had an idea. But I wouldn't tell them. How did I know I could trust them? I just shrugged my shoulders in response.
"Well, you're gonna have to come with us. We're not giving you a choice kiddo." Dean said coldly. "I beg to differ," I challenged, "I could make you all disappear with just a snap of my fingers," I said bringing my hand up.
I don't make empty threats.
"Give me one good reason why I shouldn't turn you all into dust right now," I said as calmly as possible given my current situation, although I was scared out of my mind.
Sam put his hands up. "You don't know us, so you can't trust us. Just like we can't trust you. But we do have a good reason." He said, trying to reason with me.
When I lowered my hand a little, he deemed it safe to continue. He put his hands down, "Indiana, we can take you to your brother." That really struck a chord in me.
My brother? I wasn't supposed to have any other family, besides Aunt Kelly I guess but even I didn't really know her.
Wait he knew my name. How did they know my name?
With that thought, I felt someone touch my forehead and everything went black.
