*The Day After Laxus declared to help fix Lucy*
*Laxus POV*Yesterday, I decided to do everything I could to help Lucy. The first thing was to get her to start eating again.
"Hey, Blondie, I brought you food, now eat." I stated.
Even though I wanted to help, I couldn't let go of my reputation as "Laxus Dreyar, cold and heartless jerk" just yet. I hoped that if I could remind Lucy of what it was like at the guild, she would get better. I started telling her stories about how everyone has challenged me in a fight and how they were all too weak to beat me. She still just sat there, eyes closed, motionless.
I tried to put the food in front of her and get her stomachs attention, but still nothing. I tried to spoon feed her like a child, but of course, absolutely nothing happened. I knew she was hungry because it had been days since she last ate. Even then, it wasn't considered eating because she had collapsed from the lack of nourishment, which made me take her to the hospital, where they fed her through a tube. A part of me hated to see her like that. Now, she still wouldn't eat regularly. I decided to coax her into it by taking her to the place she wanted to go most. The place in the forest where I found her. I didn't know why she wanted To be in that place, but I could tell that something was drawing her there. When the sun was setting, I packed a picnic, which felt way too out of my comfort zone, and I took her back to that spot. Earlier in the day, I had cut the trees down around it so that the natural moon light could give us vision. I also guessed that she liked the stars because she is a celestial wizard. When we got to the spot, she attempted to sit down.
"Oh, no, we are going to be sitting on a blanket over here." I said and dragged her a few feet away. I sat between her and that spot and could feel her attention drifting to it. I had my back to it and was trying all of my previous attempts to get her to eat, but to my disappointment, she was ignoring it all. My mind wandered to the fact that I may need to take her to the hospital in order for her to actually get food again. While I was wondering however, something very unexpected happened. She tackled me to the ground. I was on my back and she was sitting on top of me just staring at that damn place in the dirt that she had been eyeing all night.
"What has gotten into you?" I asked.
I saw her move to crawl over me, but I grabbed her hips and slammed her back down. I sat up and came face to face with her, and her straddling my lap.
"You used to be such a bubbly girl that laughed when everything seemed doomed. What happened to that girl? You would stop in the middle of a city and look up at the black sky just trying to see the stars even though they weren't at all visible. Have you even looked up at the stars once this entire time? You are a celestial wizard and you have been ignoring the stars even when they are as close as they can possibly be to you. For the good of everyone at the guild and most importantly, yourself, I beg you, look at the stars whom which you call family." Without saying a word, her head ever so slowly tilted upright to the sky. I saw her eyes widen, and everything went Bright.
