Chapter One

John's POV
I hear the sound of my mom knocking on the door, "John wake up it's your first day wake up" I sit up and tub my neck, "I'm awake" I say, I slip out of my bed and walk over to my closet. I tap my foot on the ground and think, "it doesn't really matter" I sigh and grab a decent outfit and quickly take a shower and brush my teeth. I look at my hair "fuck it" I shrug and just dry it off, not bothering to style it. I grab my bag and vape pen and walk walk down the stairs, I wave to my parents and grab a piece of toast they had for me, "bye mom and dad" I say opening the door and walking to my car. I get in my car and turn on my music, I tap my fingers against the wheel and start humming. I start to drive when I get a text, I smile and call him. "Hey brother!"says Jaren, "hey Jaren" I say with a little pep in my voice, "do you want me to pick you up dude" I say already knowing the answer, "yes I'll be waiting bye!" "Bye Jaren". I pull up to his house and see him leaning against the door frame and on his phone, I honk the horn and giggle as he jumps from the sudden sound, he climbs into my car which always makes me smile because of how big the car is compared to him. "Okay first, fuck you for scaring me like that and second, your car is too big for me", I smile "then be more tall" I hear Jaren snort and sigh, I start to drive and focus on the road until I hear him speak"isn't weird to think that this is our last year in high school?", I nod "I guess". Soon enough we were at the school, we both sigh and I end up laughing which causes Jaren to laugh, after we finish laughing I sit back up, "we need to spend less time together John", I shrug and get out of the car, I grab my stuff and open Jaren's door, "why thank you" Jaren says to me, I nod my head and walk into the school.
