Chapter Two

Jaren's POV

I open my eyes to the soft knocking from my mom, "you need to wake up it's your first day". I get out of bed and go to my closet, "I'm awake mom" I say as I look through my closet, after a few minutes I pick an outfit and take a shower and brush my teeth. I look in the mirror and look at my face, my left eye is a dark red and my right is a dark blue, my hair is white and freckles dotted around my face, I sigh and dry my hair and leave the bathroom. I grab my things and go down stairs, I say hi to my dog and my parents, I sit down and start eating. I pull out my phone and text John, my friend good morning. I put my phone down and finish eating, after I finish I get a cal from John, "so do you want me to pick you up?" I smile and feel giddy, I shake the feeling away and say yes, "I'll be waiting, bye" I hang up the phone and walk out onto our porch and look through my phone. After about 5 minutes I hear a honk and jump, I take a deep breath and see it's John, I sigh and walk over to his car. I open the door and literally climb into his car, I huff and look at him, he seems happy. "First, fuck you for scaring me and second, your car is too big for me" John smiles and snorts, "its not my fault your short", I let out a small laugh and look out the window. After a few minutes I look at John who is focused on the road, "isn't weird that we are in our last year in high school?", John nods, "yeah I guess". We talk about random stuff and soon get to school, we both sigh at the same time and end up laughing, "that was weird" I say after we finish laughing, John nods and gets out of the car, I watch as he opens my door for me, smile and slowly get out of the car "thank you brother", he nods and we both walk into school. I look over and see John messing with the rings on his fingers, I furrow my eyebrows and give a concerned look, "what's wrong John" I ask. John looks up and shakes his head, "i-it's nothing", "you can't lie to me John what's wrong" I say, John rubs the back of his neck and sighs "I'm just nervous". I look at him in almost shock "w-why would you be nervous" I emphasize the 'you'. John looks at me "it's nothing to worry about okay" he says a little sternly, I put up my hands "okay, okay I was just wondering". John is sorta like bear in my mind, he's tough on the outside but when you get to know him he's really soft and sweet and kind. He looks over at me and puts a arm around me, "I'm sorry if that was too harsh Jar, it's just..." "It's okay John don't worry about it", he looks down at me and smiles, I feel my cheeks start to turn the slightest bit of pink. "I always forget we have the same classes together" I say. I look up and see John rub the back of his neck, "yeah same", I frown, he's been acting weird...did I do something? I ask myself. I guess John that I was anxious, he pulls me closer to him, I smile feeling a little better but still. We walk to our lockers and grab the things we needed, I close my locker and start walking to class, John trails behind me and we get to class, I open the door and go to a back seat where we sit in every class, I sit in the seat and zone out, we don't do anything the first day so it doesn't matter. I stare at the board and think about why John would be nervous. I've never seen him nervous before it's definitely me.

Hello! It's me Honey, I forgot to add this to the first chapter but I hope you enjoy this story! I will say that I'm not rushing their relationship and I don't really have a schedule I'll just update whenever I want to. Also I do know that John is older than Jared, I just thought it would be better to have them be around the same age but John will be older just like a year older than Jaren.
