John's P.O.V

I walk back inside and take the rest of the food and drinks down stairs. I fling myself onto my bed and go through my music, I start to play and space out. I blink and look at my phone, seeing I got a message on Discord a few minutes ago, I smile and see Jaren texted me goodnight. I text him goodnight but knowing he wouldn't see it because he's most likely asleep by now, I put my phone down and slowly drift to sleep still listening o my music. I jolt up the next morning in a cold sweat, I look up and see my mom staring at me in the doorway "John are you okay" my mom asks me, I slowly nod and take a deep breath "yeah I just had a bad dream" my mom nods "it must have been bad then" she says and leave my room. I stand up and get dressed and take a shower, I grab my breakfast and head out to my car I look at my phone to see if anyone texting me. Hoping for one person to text me, no one has texted me my heart sinks and I start driving trying to get to school as quick as I can. I park and walk into school ignoring everyone and walking to my locker, i don't see Jaren an close my eyes, it's fine John he's just running late I grab my stuff an wait at my locker and watch everyone walk by. I tap my foot on the ground feeling myself start to panic "come on man" I say quietly through gritted teeth, I walk to the bathroom and get in the biggest stall and sit with my knees pulled up to my chest silently panicking. I here someone walk in and see familiar pair of tennis shoes "John are you in here" I hear Jaren's voice and feel a wave of relief wash over me, Jaren walks to the big stall and pokes his head under the stall knowing I would be in there. Jaren frowns and crawls next to me "what's wrong John" Jaren asks with a concerning tone, I keep my head down and feel tears start running down my face and on the floor.

"I don't know, just something happened last night and y-you d-din't te-text me this morning" I barely managed to say, I feel Jaren wrap me in a hug. I start to cry harder and hug Jaren back and digging my face in his shoulder, "I'm sorry John, did you have one of those dreams again" Jaren asks me. I look at him and wipe my face "yeah but it was so much worse than any other one I had" I say and put my face in my hands, "I wish I could help you" Jaren says and rubs my back I start calm down knowing that Jaren is okay. I stand up after we hear the bell go off for us to go to class I take a deep breath and start to walk to my class with Jaren trailing right behind me, we make into class and sit in the back and silently do our work. We continue to go through the regular school day like we would, sit together at lunch and go home. Jaren took his bike to school today so I couldn't drive him home so we said goodbye and we would call later. I get in my car an drive home still thinking about the dream I had, it was almost too real and I already know it's going to hard to sleep now. I go up stairs an do my homework quickly an lay on my bed waiting for Jaren to call me. I finally get a call and we end up playing some games until we had to go to eat food.

I text Jaren goodnight and listen to music hoping that it would help me fall asleep but it didn't work so I just stayed up all night listening to music. I the next morning I take a shower and head down stairs, no body is awake because it's really early in the morning so I make coffee and watch YouTube until I have to leave. I get into my car head to school, I sit in the front of the building and vape until I see the familiar brown wavy hair and red and blue eyes walk near me.
