Dear journal,

He didn't wake up for Christmas. . . Or New Years. Thankfully, though, the doctors say that he's recovering. The hospital room is decorated with a giant 2019 on the wall, and one of the nurses snuck me champagne last night. Very kind lady.

Daniel has started being more active as he sleeps. He moves his fingers every no and then, and sometimes his face scrunches up when the doctors poke him with needles.

That has to be progress. The doctors think he's simply gathering strength to wake up. Either way, the pain of sleeping in a hospital chair overshadows all the pain of missing my brother!

I'm feeling much better about this whole ordeal. I haven't seen Admin in days, and I don't think I want to, but I'm fairing well on my own. The doctors and nurses seem to pity me quite a lot, so they sneak me things like food and drinks that shouldn't be in a hospital.

I can't quite tell if Daniel's just really pale, or if he's feet are going transparent. I don't think he's fading, I just think that his body is too weak to completely hold on to his physical form. It gives me chills, though.
